when i first started to study with the dubs, i was about 8 years old.

my mom became a jw but she was very lax with the rules.

she never made me "give up" my non-jw friends (perhaps because my dad never became a dub).

It teaches children that you are above those children, although in play time religion has little to do with anything. When you get older, you raise your self-rightcheous head, say, "I'm done with you... get away from me Satan..." and go into your self-rightcheous life, like nothing happened. Therefore, people are taught how to use people for their own good, and to throw friendship away at the whim of their conscience. YEEEAAAH!

REAL CHRISTIAN, EH? USE AND ABUSE. THAT'S THE WAY IT IS IN THE SOCIETY, that's why people are such absolute pricks! That is why most JW's are completely without social skills of any reasonable sort, and are so rude / ignorant to each other.

They are just taught to be jerks from day one. They are pharisees.

i had the "priviliage" of attending the 3 days of the "give god glory" convention.

for those interested, i will be posting some observations.

in one of the first talks, the speaker interviewed a young one, who gave his "experience" of being on the internet and being "seduced" by the pornography so readily available there.

our two eldest sons and their wives went to las vegas for the week today.

i have the 2 year old son of one son and the 14 year old daughter of the other son, for the week (until friday).

the girl (carlie) is an absolute dream, so helpful and has a great personality, but she goes to school everyday.

Awww,,,, you are showing the tell-tale signs of being a Grandma. It's okay.... it's only natural to feel like this!

He is misbehaving, all right. Do you have a crib? A two-year old does not know what a "time out" is. Just tell him if he doesn't do something, "do you want to go nite-nite?". After asking him (reminding) him 3 times, just plunk him in the crib, turn out the light, and leave him for a minute. He'll get the hint right away. That's all that I did with my 2 yr. old nephew....

Toilet training? Oh my god, you poor, poor woman! Those stinky, stinky, stinky diapers!!! Bleah! That is just too much!!!!

When he throws his food around, whatever, meal time is over, period! Tell him no more until the next meal. He'll learn in one heck of a hurry what meal time is all about!

One more thing - make sure to play with him, and laugh with him. He needs not only that type of discipline, but immediate love and feeling like he's not the worst little kid in the world! Don't make a big deal at all over his mis-behaviors. Just make up your discipline, stick to it (remember, he's only 2 ! ) and don't worry too much.

Spanking? I suggest taking his diaper off and giving him the tiniest pat on his butt imagineable. That'll make him cry, and it will not hurt him one little bit. That is, if you need to.... a wooden spoon? No, put that away. He doesn't need to feel that kind of pain at 2. He is going to be a bit bratty, and scared, seeeing as his parents are away. Please keep that in mind before hurting his little behind. He doesn't want to drive you nuts - but he is; so, grandma, you need to take it... (I know it sucks! )

Good luck, and try not to stress too much.

what is the only sin you can't be repentant of?.

this is a question my pioneer brother posed to me as a riddle one day.

he had gotten it while in the field service with the co. the answer surprised and upset me.. suicide.

Pretty pathetic, eh, Tammy? It's strange how they have no heart whatsoever, and claim to be god's spokesperson. You need to be in a lot of pain and psychological distress to commit suicide. To want to die is to have the worst pain of all; the type that you cannot cope with.

True christians are not that way, Tammy. The CO did not know what he was talking about. B/c he was part of the frigging organization, that has no heart whatsoever. They have no natural affection, no pity, no nothing. It is the exact opposite of what Jesus taught. They are disgusing as they are pharisees right down to the core.

The unforgiveable sin? Only god knows what that is. Not human beings. It is "the sin against the holy spirit". I think that if you did that kind of sin, you would know about it. Any persons whom have committed suicide due to emotional distress have surely not committed the unforgiveable sin. If human beings can understand this basic concept, think of how much more God feels. Don't let them fool you - THEY ARE PHARISEES, just like in Jesus time.
