  Easter, the memorial ... is there any worthwhile message for secularists?

  an innocent man killed in the most awful manner replayed countless time all over the world has desire for justice writ large all it.

  is this something that secularists can take from a religious event.

  what is truth - Pilate asked Jesus

  i think pilate was being socratic when he asked jesus - what is truth?.

  my question is to do with whether or not jesus was also being socratic when he said he had come to bear witness to the truth.

  my idea is that both pilate and jesus were talking about a kind of ethics to live.

  God's Kingdom Rules - for injustice?

  here is what i am asking regarding the convention that is now in progess at twickenham and at which this new book gods kingdom rules was released.. what inequalities and injustices is the convention perpetrating regarding god's kingdom rule and which it would like to keep hidden and quiet about?.

  the biggest one i can think of is that it favours the able bodied and a particular type of able bodied.

  everyone else must try to match that particular able bodied type.

  a sense of responsibility

  do parents here feel a strong sense of responsiblity for raising their children as witnessess?

  an xwitness friend was saying she and her husband feel very bad for having brought up their children as witnesses and they feel they want to make amends but are unable to do so.

  what advice would you give them.

  a wonderful uplifiting book i'm reading.

  it is the story of jesus (yehoshuah in the book) told from a jewish perspective and situated in jewish family and village life as it was then.. at one point in the book jesus' mother wants to capture the moment and install it in eternity so she says to her companion, a young follower of jesus(yeshoshuah) who has come to visit her after his death and who wants to know about her son's life growing up.

  so mary (miryam in the book) after resisting the young man for a long period finally gives in at a point in the book when something magical happens between them drawing them close together as mother and son and so she relates what she knows is a lie but as it is a lie that brings her son back to her, a lie that comforts her and a lie that the the young man embraces with love and enthusiasm, she continues her story - the story of jesus.
