over the weekend i went to my continuing education which i was scolded for of course and it was about amputee patients.

during the program one man gave a testimony of his struggles with amputation.

the first major point brought out was that as a patient you must not be denied the freedom to feel anger or fear.

Over the weekend i went to my continuing education which i was scolded for of course and it was about amputee patients. During the program one man gave a testimony of his struggles with amputation. the first major point brought out was that as a patient you MUsT not be denied the freedom to feel anger or fear. "Be afraid! Be angry! Then harness it and use it as focus to get through your trials. To be denied fear or anger is UNREALITY. Its not tangible!" Immediately i thought of all of us here who have been denied certain emotions and certain real fears. So all of us who are fading or struggling, feel your fear and feel that anger, and know that its ok!

NEXT he talked about what made him so angry and afraid--disability. He said that word to him was bullshit. So he took the first 3 letters and made it positive and used it as Focus. D.I.S.

D--he used to discover what he could do to be normal each day--brushing his teeth, getti g to the toilet, etc.

I- Insight was the product of that discovery and he realized he could do more

s--Success resulted from discovery and insight.

Because of that he walks on a prosthetic, even rides his motorcycle.

Now for us this is a great tool for motivation. How?

The Watchtower Disables its followers down to their very thoughts.

So when we Discover the truth it leads to Insight, that insight when it moves us to action creates success and gives us the ABILITY to choose, to live, and to be FREE! Freedom caused by fear is not freedom, its enslavement. So lets continue discovering truth, finding the freedom that all should share.

i ask this respectfully, and do so after watching a favorite show of mine's season opener which had a new years storyline.

hollywood tends to make movies and television show episodes centered around holiday themes appear warm and blissful.

while i'm thankful to have never participated in such holidays, i can't deny my curiosity about ex-jws that do celebrate.

SFPW--i remember my last christmas with my grandfather, who was basically my father since my dad was not around much. I remember the smell of the tree, ham cooking, and i remember the joy i saw on his face watching everyone of his kids and grandkids opening gifts. And as i watched him breathe it all in i saw in his eyes that he too knew this would be his last Christmas. 11 months later he died. But i never forget it...got it on video and i watch it from time to time.

i work in the medical field and every 2 years i need 24 hours if continuing education to stay licensed.

my deadline is coming up and i am taking the classes this week and next week.

heres the thing, i scheduled them both on sundays and ive procrastinated over this two year renewal period.

Thanks unstopable. Im staying away from some of the hardcore JW friends and hanging out with a family that is more open minded...their son and daughter have frie ds that arent Jw's and they are non judgmental. But again, im careful what i say to everyone.

I had a brother hold up a bible once, and he said

"when u miss a meeting you dont just miss one thing, you miss the talk (removes a finger), the WT (removes a second), then you thursday meeting you miss the bible study (third gone), theocratic ministry school (and he drops the bible). Soon enough Satan has you and you start to have doubts."

looking back now it makes perfect sense...everytime i missed something i started to waiver...the dissonance began...

now i know its because this wasnt supposed to be like this. You dont worship God just because if you dont youll die...that would be bullshit to me. Instead its an internal change to make yourself better...by choice not manipulation.

Most in "Christndom" get it...

Heathen--yes the bible says faith without works is dead...another term for works is "deeds". For instance, peter did not exercise his faith when he refused Christ 3 times. faithful deeds are things done to help others, or when you resist something that tempts you...See the WT utilizes works and service to God as a JOB...manual labor, slave-like works, etc. But service to God can be lived everydsy in all the choices you make, values that you hold--righteous things. We try to be people because were moved by Christ to do so...whole heartedly, not because a motherlike org says "do it or ill spank you" lol. Theyve become the judges, fhe executioners---taking Christ and the holy spirit out of the equation.
