I can't do it anymore.

people who've been reading my posts will know i've been trying to get reinstated so i can get back together with my girlfriend/fiance.

the more time goes on, the less i feel able to do that.

all the things i hear from the platform, and the things that elders have said to me just reinforce the fact that i want nothing at all to do with this organisation anymore.

For the last week and a half my phone has never stopped ringing, in the end I turned the ringer off. When I did answer it all I got from her is how stupid I am to not be a wittness, and how can I do this to her. I kept telling her that I wasn't leaving her, I was leaving a religion, it was her thats leaving me. I'm officially single again now. I should feel upset, but feel more like Austin Powers in the film when he says, "I'm single again, Wahey". But hell have no fury like a woman scorned. She 's phoned up every person I know and told them that I am now an active apostate, and have been communicating with apostates via the internet. This has not gone down very well. Apparently my ex best friend is going to give me a good hiding when he sees me(Very christian). My business partner(I work full time, but have a lot of spare time due to my shifts so I have parts in other companies too) is threatening to kick me out the businesses, even to close them down if need be. I've just bought a house 2 weks ago so this would cause a lot of problems financially until I got started up on my own. And when my dad found out about it, he said nothing to me but phoned the po in my local hall who has told the whole cong and put pressure on my business partner(Who hasn't been to a meeting for 2 years.....). I went up to see my dad tonight and ended up having a huge argument with him, he wants nothing more to do with me. I'm going to go get drunk.

What do you do with your old liturature?

i'm in the middle of decorating my new house, and was a bit stuck as to what to use to mask off the furniture/carpets etc until i spotted an oldv pile of watchtowers that i'd been meaning to throw out.

i now have paint spattered watchtowers all over my living room.. anybody else got any good things to use old liturature for?

Ballistic, do you mean the one that we would have been placing in the 80s? If so I'm 99% I've got one in the boxes I've still got to pick up from my parents house. I'll check tommorow night. If its there I'll post it down, unless you fancy a long trip out on your new bike?

Why doesn't the WTS website have a discussion forum?

since the jws main mission in their miserable lives is to 'preach the good news of the kingdom', why is is that there is really no means to interact with the wts website?.

certainly, many pioneers could be engaged in the activity of answering the many enquiries that would be directed through such an 'official' discussion board, and it would definitely be a means for the pioneers of accumulating many precious hours of witnessing to those 'hungering for the truth'.. surely the society couldn't believe that such a site would be inundated with doubting and disgruntled individuals with an 'axe to grind' with them.

i am sure that there would be many members here who would have many sincere enquiries to make with the society, without wanting to disrupt, or harass.

xjw-b12, that link is one of the reasons I hate creepy crawlies. I'm keeping the hell away from anything that can do something like that to me, and since I don't know which ones can and which ones can't I keep away from them all.

i'm ashamed to say i have lurked here for a couple of years without having the courage to jump in.. the insight i have found in these posts has done much to heal the broken hearted.. there is no one that can truly understand this particular experience this without living it.. i was raised in the lower mainland of bc., i will share my own experience as courage will alow.. sincere thanks to all of you for helping me to heal and understand that i am not all by myself.

Why did people have to post pictures!!! I'm scratching everywhere now. I hate spiders and all creepy crawlies. I can deal with psychopaths all day at work no problem but show me a little bug and I jump a mile.
