I like the way he places the emphasis on the damage that can be done to children growing up in the JW environment, he makes some good points. But his list of links down the left hand side makes him look like he's challanging everyone, doing his credability no good at all. Its no point shouting if no one will listen to you.

BANNED FROM COLD CALLING in SCOTLAND
by DannyHaszard inknock, knock, who's there?
no jehovah's witnesses or double ...

This will have no effect on the activities of Jehovahs Witnesses.
It is an advisory scheme and is not enforceable and we are just inviting people to co-operate.
The jws will 'obey gods law rather than mans' and ignore the invitation, and just continue knocking on doors as before. If it were to become law expect a case to be brought that its against their human right of freedom of religion. The only consequence I can see from this is they thinking they are being persecusted, and so strengthen their conviction they are right.

Remember the Panorama programme on JWs a few years ago? Question
by evergreen inyes, many will remember the panorama programme shown on channel 4 (uk) a few years ago.
the one that highlighted the child abuse scandal and the disgusting manner in which the borg deals with it.
then when the letter was read out to the congregations a week or so later addressing this issue by dismissing the programme by simply saying that two witnesses were needed before a person could make an accusation.

"I did not hear from Holly for 18 months. She called one day from Indianaand sa1d she wanted to come home. I sent her a bus ticket and picked her up in (Ascutney), Vermont. She was thin, she was sick, and she had parasites. When she dismounted from that bus, she asked me, "Why did you let that happen?" And I said, "Why did I let what happen?" And this was the first time that I heard about the sexual abuse that had happened to her.""
Are we talking about the same programme? The Panorama I watched on UK tv featured a family from Scotland, not USA. Jon Briggs, who I've known for many years, was sent from the northeast to be their new PO and try and clear things up.The thing is, Jon was involved in some things (not connected to child abuse in any way) where things were covered over to protect the reputation of some elders even though it seriously screwed over some publishers. It caused ructions in the local congregation, plus 2 nearby ones, and ended up with a CO's visit being cancelled for another hall so he could go in and fix it.
I thought it was rather ironic to send somebody to fix a mess caused by things being covered up, who had been involved in things being covered up himself.

Between me and Claire we have 4 vehicles. I mainly drive a '97 rover metro diesel, which is battered to bits, but never lets me down, carries all the junk I neeed and still gives 60-70mpg. We've also got a '06 Mazda 2 Sakata for when we want a bit more comfort, a camper van for going away in, and a Yamaha FZR600 motorbike for having fun on.

Who has Tattoos?
by Good Girl or Bad Girl? inhey y'all,.
how many of you have tattoos, and if so what are they?
what is the meaning, if any, behind them?
-
Gadget
The thing is to those who don't know, TATTOOING HAS WITCHCRAFT "ROOTS".
Very appropriate for me then, I'm a witch and an officer of the pagan federation http://www.paganfed.org/. I got my first Tattoo while still a witness. I kept it hidden for the first year or so, then nobody could tell how new it was so presumed it had already been dealt with..... It got a lot of admiring glances at congregation outings! I now have three, one on each shoulder and one on my right calf. The second pic is taken in a mirror, its actually on my left shoulder.
Many young people today do not realize that they may be sorry in the future that they chose to put tattoos on their bodies today.
This is a very important point. You have to think about what its going to look like when your older. Thats why I started getting piercings instead of more tattoos, I can remove a piercing whenever I want but tattoos are forever. When I chose my tattoos, and their locations, I made sure that I can keep them hidden with clothing if I choose to, or alternative I can wear things to deliberately show them off.

Disaster : ( My niece wants to get baptised soon.

She's is only 16 and is bent on getting baptised
Ask her parents when she's getting married? My parents would object strongly to someone getting married at 16 because they would think they're not emotionally mature enough to be able to make such a large commitment to someone...... What would your neice and her parents think looking at it from this angle?

I followed the same procedure as Audesapere, and it took a few weeks to settle down for them to tolerate each other.
And don't take kitty meowing as something you need to move in on...when they ''SCREAM''....then it's time to move in.
If you do intervene make sure your wearing some protective clothing. My armoured motorcycle gloves were not tough enough, the cat's teeth pierced straight through them and into my hand. My welding gauntlets were the only things that worked for me, and they protected my for-arms too.
