Sadly, fading is bad for my marriage

while headship has always been a problem in my marriage, partly because i'm more of a team player and my wife has man issues, now that i'm clearly fading my wife feels that i have nothing of worth to say.. i resist the idea of divorce but this is not much of a marriage.

since she doesn't/ can't hold down a job alimony would be ridiculously expensive.

cheaper to keep her, as they say.. i get zero cooperation or even discussion for any adjustments i feel might be in order for us as we grow older: obabmacare?

Going through the same thing here, leaving the Organization has put my marriage on the rocks even with all the patience and loving kindness, compassion. You probably are like me, you go out of the way to be kind and avoid starting fruitless arguments the Cult members won't see. Were in the same location, I think someone like Ray Publisher who recently went through Hell to free himself from the mind-controlers would have some great advice. Is this a common problem when people leave the Organization, their spouse female/male decides to leave them after spending the better portion of their life? I am here for you, sorry your dealing with the nasties too.

Ray, your input would give us clues how to locate each individual with lingering doubts to the authenticity of the Organizations dates. Will a sign posted outside my house bring critical responses by the elders if I say "I am so happy we are 100 years further in to the Parousia of our lord Jesus Christ" Would this go over or would i get the boot from the Organization for broadcasting these god-given dates? How much trouble am I looking at, will they stop performing flock calls on me?

I found this thread to be one of the most loving and kind expressions from all the members on JWN, you people (atheists to polytheists) amaze me with your compassion and loving kindness I rarely discovered in the Kingdom Halls. You all are really cool!

You think Slim has peaked on this site to see all the well wishes everyone is sending his way, you helped him learn the truth about the Organization, I doubt Slim is going to let some Beavis and Butthead Elder-Body tag-team him after listening to all the wise and learned people here! Once again, this thread has the life-blood of JWN, the majority of comments are kind and loving and warning him to watch out, thank you for showing me all the good people here.

Hi! I drove past all the wonderful Preachers at Starbucks at 10:15 AM, Service start's at 9:30 here in San Luis Obispo, County California. I wanted to thank everyone for their stellar posts.

One Bethelite I know was sent home from Bethel for beating up some homosexual non-practicing men who were hitting up on him in 1974 to 1978 in New York. That's what he claims, I can't verify what this JW say's because he lies frequently and has a history of hurting his fellow Christians by ruling with a iron-fist and great deficiency of love.

Freddy-the-Bethelite hated Bethel because he felt he ran in to way too many men, who liked men, he was rude towards anyone who made a pass or gabbed his 19th year old behind in those days. My brain is fried trying to evaluate why a former Bethelite who was unappreciate of homosexuals made at him (i have had my fair share of gay men hitting on and i use to flirt back to screw with them. We had lot's of fun goofing around but I am not Gay and if they are, that's their life and I will not hurt another person for how they chose to love.

When do Christians in the mainstream belive Jesus received his kingly authority? What's the best method to attack the false date of 1914? I hate that date because the Organization will twist anyone who say's "But the Organization said 1914 was the begining of the End" They reply, "You are serving God for a date, you are so selfish!"

Got to keep the name of the Watchtower clean at any cost, the guilt pilled up on whistle-blowers of sex-sins is great. The Kingdom Hall and all the holy people you thought were your friends will turn on the family member exposing the wicked man. The former sex sinning pedophiles are the first to come before the elder-body and ask "When will I get my forgiveness and what programs are available to faithful men who made the mistakes of molesting little boys and girls, "we have a sickness and need your help brothers! Confessing Sins to Elders for forgiveness, Can Elders Forgive Sins?

@StandforTrueworship: Why does the entire elder body know of sins suppose to be kept secret? Where does the Bible permit spreading of ones sins? Using the elders own method- (Isaiah 1:1-20+) Jehovah invites the wayward Isrealites to come forward and make their case against him and he will condescend down (Imagine the King of the Universe talking with tiny micro-blots of flesh to make us white as snow and throw our sins out in the seas so far, we will never see them again.) -they show once again they are not following the Word of God but man made rules!

Kids need to understand once they tell the elder-body their sins they risk elders spreading those sins to every wolf in sheep's clothing. Learn by my example kids, don't give the " Elder Robert Ballard's a map of your past (man who hunted down sunken ships and found the Titanic after others failed) or any access to your sins Jehovah threw so far away from land that only these Sin Trollls with their Salvage Boats are freaky enough to dig up.

i knew that with others most likely waiting for them out in the car they probably did not then have much time to engage in any serious conversation.

so i let them talk while i feigned interest in what they had to say.

Christianguy, we really need to work on Matthew 5:39 or we have reduced ourselves to a child of Christian instead of enjoying the deep things of Jesus Christ, back to the basics and milk. The Master could read the hearts of the Pharisees and wicked religious leaders, we don't know whois going to be affected by our words. The great Christian Apologists must remain guiltless during the debates with well-known Atheist and Islamic Clerics, I listen to the insults hurled during the Christian and Islamic debates while the Christian Apologist remained calm and respectful for Mohammed and Islam even while the audience and Cleric get's upset or uses ad-hominen attacks. The Atheist speaker will throw something wild out for the audience like "I would rather keep rape than religion" Sam Harris quote, the professional Christian Apologist continues to behave like Jesus Christ or he loses the debate because it's not ok for us to name call, we get this thrown back in our face because of the higher ground we are trying to walk. Christians are held to a higher level of morality because we are preaching the message of Jesus Christ, we got to change how we handle the evils people throw our ways. I don't think the atheist are calling us names, it's the gross hypocrites and their wicked deeds hurting the innocent ones who they are attacking, most are good spirited with good cheer like Captian Obvious.
