Considering the weightiness of the occasion, the most appropriate way I can see to celebrate is to have a nice, hearty BM. Using a Watchtower magazine for toilet paper, of course!

You're Wrong
by looter ini guess you can tie jehovahs, and any other organized religion with this:.
"if your religion makes you think any people are spiritually inferior to others or.... if your science makes you think some class of people mentally inferior to others or.... if your politics makes you think some people should be politically inferior to others.... .
then you are doing it wrong and you need to rethink your philosophy from first principals.

Stop to think: Why does the belief or opinion that YOU happen to subscribe to ALWAYS seems to be only one that's 'right'? And therefor everyone who believes differently is always 'wrong'. It's funny how a person's 'God' always JUST SO HAPPENS to support their views and prejudices. Talk about self-centered!! I'd LOVE to hear: 'I'm a Baptist but I really think the Catholics' view of God is where it's at'.

On Tattoos
by tim hooper intattoos may look great for a while on a young person, but as you get older they'll just look plain stupid.
your credibility will fade as you and your tattoo age together.
your skin will be permanently stuck in a timewarp, like some old newspaper headline that once meant something but later becomes meaningless.

Here's the bottom line on the subject of Tattoos: 'If you want a tattoo, get one! If you don't want a tattoo, don't get one'. End of story!!

Where Will Jesus Come When He Comes?
by Cold Steel inaccording to both christian and jewish eschatology, the messiah will come to jerusalem, where he will deliver the jews from hostile nations "round about.
"since the jehovah's witnesses and other adventists don't believe his coming will be literally fulfilled, but figuratively fulfilled, they simply believe he will return to the earth, where he will slay the wicked and the righteous will be caught up to meet him in the air.. first we have a christian declaration:.
and when [jesus] had spoken these things, while [the apostles] beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Question for the nonbelievers and atheists
by nykid inwhat specifically made you stop believing in god and the bible?
was it a steady road of doubts or it was reading one book or one major event that made you realize the bible was not what it's claimed to be?.

What turned me off of religion was the tendency of religious people to always insist that THEIR version of God and the Bible ( Koran, etc ) is the ONLY valid one. And their intense desire to have EVERYONE else believe just as they do. Christians in particular look down on 'other' people who have different beliefs, and adopt an air of moral superiority and judgement. Anyone believing differently ( or not believing at all) is told they will 'burn in Hell', be killed at Armageddon, or something similar. No thanks!!! If anyone tries to 'convert' me to their religion, I just reply: 'Religion is not a subject I choose to discuss with strangers. Please respect my wishes'. That includes discussions of the Bible, Jesus, God, Allah, Heaven, Hell, etc.

I get so tired of people always bringing up "Black on Black" crime.
by booker-t ini am responding to a post by someone the other day about a black girl beaten by a mob of other black teens for "acting too white.
" the poster was trying to drive home the idea black people commit more crimes against themselves then white people do to them.
while it is true some black people do insult other black people who they believe are trying to fit in with caucasian people, white people, hispanics, asians, and other races do the same exact thing to people in their ethnic group as well.

What I get tired of is JW against JW crime: JW parents beating their kids for squirming in a meeting; forcing a JW child to follow his parents' religion including field service at a young age; shunning children and relatives who do not believe in the JW religion; denying children with life threatening medical issues a needed blood transfusion; denying their children the opportunity to be friends with non-JW kids; insisting on JW teens only dating and marrying other JWs; brainwashing young children before they are old enough to resist. These are just some of the 'crimes' perpetrated by JWs of whatever race.

Lying about Shunning! jw.org conceals the "truth"
by Skinnedsheep inhttp://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/shunning/ .
"those who were baptized as jehovahs witnesses but no longer preach to others, perhaps even drifting away from association with fellow believers, are not shunned.
in fact, we reach out to them and try to rekindle their spiritual interest.".

Once again, the BIBLE is the root of the problem!!! It's a 2000+ year old collection of fantasies from the writers' fevered imaginations. It's time we took back our personal responsibility for our lives instead of slavishly living according to some ancient Middle Eastern scribblings. Just stop reading the Bible and pay absolutely no attention to it. It's now the year 2014, not the first century. Come up to present time and live NOW, not in the past!!

Bible Highlights(you won't hear at the KH): Why did Jehovah send Balaam away to curse the Israelites ?
by raymond frantz inpeter ,jude ,revelation and the book of numbers add to the a small piece of information to the fascinating story behind balaam's curse .... why did jehovah send balaam away to curse the israelites ?
the account in numbers 22:20 seems to indicate that jehovah was the one to balaam away to curse the israelites only to get angry with his prophet later .
balak king of moab sent messengers to the prophet balaam in the land now iraq.

Yawn!!! Sorry, I fell asleep reading that rubbish. We have GOT to get away from the idea that the Bible contains anything of value or in any way needs to be used as a guide to living. It's really just a 2000+ year old book full of fantasies from the writers' fevered imaginations. Stop paying ANY attention to the Bible!!! Come up to present time!! NOW is the only time we really have.

If your wife chooses to be a weirdo and family misfit that is her choice. No need to keep inviting her or trying to cajole her into attending. Just attend the birthday BBQ with your family and enjoy yourselves. Your wife can sit at home alone with her self-righteous attitude of moral superiority. Her beliefs are the product of brainwashing by a mind-controlling cult. Be sure your daughter and other relatives understand that fact.
