Dodgy Disassociation

hi guys

here's a little story: i have been purposely inactive for about 3 years, i just moved town and ceased all jw activities.

one day a few months back, two witness called and my girlfriend said i was an ex jw.

just a quick post to say i have started a "blog" or weblog site designed to be a light and easy info centre on jw topics and news.

sometimes it takes ages to trawl thru all the jw related sites to find the latest news, so i'm hoping that a few will mail me with anything thats new and i'll post it.

recommend a book

any book that you like.. i am particularly interested in reading some good non-fiction.. crisis of conscience tops my recommendations, i think it is one of the best books i've ever read.

but you don't have to recommend apostate books.. currently i am enjoying dale carnegie's how to win friends and influence people.

i am enjoying it and trying to take the advice to heart - namely, don't be so negative!.

What is wrong with my family?

i love my family.

but i've been stressed and depressed because of them.

and i just need to gain some understanding.. being raised in a jw family laid alot of pressure and guilt on me.

What did you do to keep yourself amused at the KH?

when i was very young about 12 or 13 my brother [he's mad, not much older] sometimes used to do a cheeky magic trick during the watchtower[god, this was the most boring of them all, i think].

he used to put his hands by his side and miraculously the books on his lap would rise all by themselves [yeah, you guessed it ...morning glory], well it made me laugh my head off.

i bet people could see my shoulders bouncing up and down from the back row.

Evil Slave Class - Where can I enroll?

being disassociated carries with it many rewards - not being invited to the in-laws, not having bible bashers assaulting my privacy (but sometimes i do wish they would call to share some wholesome fellowship.

presently i am working on my apostate skills and feel that i am making some progress, but i do recall how much the brothers dreaded those persons reputedly of the (shudder) 'evil slave class'.

i haven't seen any mention of them on the board and wonder whether they still exist, and if they still manage to icite fear and trepidation in the joeys.. if so..... then i want to enlist - it must be the ultimate in achievement.. cheeses (of the evil slave class).
