Militant Apostates

i'm wondering if there are many truly militant apostates out there....... some real god hating watchtower bashing hard guys....i just read the "bill bowen update" thread and feel that all opposition is good opposition, and knowing that the wt society can see any posts we make, also feel its a shame they can see squabbles among their enemies.

i suppose the last thing we want is some rampaging neo-nazi dis-felloshipped psychos paint bombing halls and bashing elders with their own copies of "pay attention' books, but i DO like to see what a bloke like Bill Bowen ( love him or hate him ) can do to turn the heat up a few notches ..... and there must be a lot out there that can do a lot better than old bill.......people that are in a posistion to apply some serious thumbscrews ...... perhaps a big defector with money and a score to settle ........ who knows

It's just not realistic to think that we all should be behind each and every complaint against the organization with unqualified allegiance.

of course i agree with that, i really was interested to see if there are many "extremist" apostates, and by definition they won't be too popular with active and ex JW's alike. i am not suprised to find that almost every post here is reasonable whether the individual is pro or anti any given subject. i suppose i am very curious about individuals that would do something very "bad" to JW's

we had one guy in our congregation, everytime he closed with prayer, it went on for 30 minutes or longer, i remember one occasion, i am not kidding 65 minutes, torture 101.. anyone else have this experience.

there is an urban myth that when one overzealous brother gave such a long prayer at a bethel breakfast old "judge" rutherford just started munching into his breakfast.

i get so tired of my family telling me to 'come back to the meetings" or "do you want to go to the meeting on sunday?".

i should not complain i know.

i do not have the guts to just say to them: "i am never going back.".

my old man is a long standing elder, and my brother and i would piss ourselves laughing when he would drive us to the meetings and shout and swear at other drivers then get up and give the public talk..........

i've just finished jean auel's last book in the clan of the cavebear series...and wilbur smith's latest (don't bother, its cr*p), and now i'm hard up for another book, but i tend to sway back to the author's i know.

sooo...if you know of any great books/authors/dynasties...please do tell.

i dont mind a bit of james clavell..... "tiapan" and "king rat" are better than gai jin i think

eric lustbader is fantastic.... try the "nicolas linnear" novels......... "the ninja" etc

val mcdermot is a new gal i have been readin lately.... worth a look i think :)

Fred Franz and high IQ

i recall reading somewhere that in his lifetime fred franz was listed as one of the most intelligent men in the usa.
