menrov, I am not sure where I would support it except that I had read Midrash and some books that were written before WWII by various Eastern European rabbis. There are tons of material and even you can ask any Jewish person where to study a Jewish faith. Jews do not have centralized faith and there are different opinions based on different interpretation of the OT.

Yes, I did. I studied with rabbi in Eastern Europe for a bit and later went for classes that were conducted by Jewish teacher explaing OT and was done also by rabbi and professor who was Jewish and married to one of them. I am married to Jewish person, but the faith is not relevant as the second half is secular, but my in-laws family have some orthodox members. Jewish beliefs are different from Christianity, and it is also crucial do make distinction between Jewish faith and Jewish culture and life as part of cultural, social, and national identity. What Jews taught me:
- Satan is God's helper, he collect evidence on your misdeed, and is like a public accuser. He works at will and under supervison of G-d and does not oppose him, nor torment damned in hell.
- Everyone is responsible for his own sin. What you saw you reap. There is no idea of original sin, nor Adamic sin. Life is created sinless and holy. Person became sinfull due innability to hold Torah.
- Nobody can pay out for your sin; thereofre, Atonement of Jesus, is invalid in the Jewish books. You are responsible for maintaining good relationship with G-d and no other person can bridge between you and Him.
- Hell is not defined, and if there is, it is not a permanent place of torment. Even citizen's of Sodom were released from the tormemnt. There is not justice to punish someone for eternity.
- Messiah is a king of the future brining peace to the world.
- Adam is not father of all mankind, but Eve is a mother of all humanity. Kain was a product of relationship between Satan and Eve.
- Angels can materialize on Earth even after the Flood. Angels who destroyed Sodom were banished on Earth for 130 years and could not return to heaven. However, they do not have evil inclination, this is only given to men by freedom of choice.

DJS, great observation. It is tiring to read all these American bashing posts. Without USA were would be world under A.H. or who stood up to cancer of communism. All the same posts where Americans are responsible for everything bad that happened in humanity since the fall of Rome. There is Ebola outbreak in Western Africa, who is there helping? Americans! Metatron, I was born in Eastern Europe and spent 20 years under communism, so I know very well how horrible was this cancerous ideology that radiated from Moscow to 1/4 of humanity and killed 50 million people. I do not need you to tell me what is it, as I have a personal experience from it. I was all over the region during my lifetime, before the fall of the Berlin Wall and afterwards. I was at Ukraine as well and around the Black Sea. Several times. I know what shape was Warsaw Pact troops as my dad was a military guy in 1950's and 1960's. I do not need to hear from you. And I have also witnessed arrogancy of Moscow goverment and its conquest and rusification of my ex-native country. As long I live, I will never forget it. It is also reason why every single Slavic country has a distrust of Russia. They do not share totalitarian nature of such government that is completelly foreigner to every non-Russian Slavs. In August 30, 1848 after first Pan-Slavic congress in Prague one of the honorary member said: "Russia could be the foremost country in the world if would be free and ruled by law. Unfortunatelly it is a despotic country and for us free Slavs [in Austrian monarchy] it must be treated as our possibly the worst enemy."
I believe in democracy, personal freedom and responsibility, and civic duties. So does majority of my former countrymen. We do not need egoistic tyrant in Moscow telling us how to live our life. Additionally, you completally mix terms. Again, you do not know much difference between NATO, EU, and West. Not every country West of Russia is member of NATO, nor in EU, nor every Western democracy is in Europe or Northern America. You clearly showing deep deficit of overall common knowledge and you try bashing others. Indeed very sad.

My jw mum threw us out.
by abbasgreta inmy brother (non-jw but became a christian 6 months ago) and i nursed my aged jw mother back to a semblance of strength over the last three weeks.. the elders were happy to pass the buck on to me, her da'd daughter and my bro.. he has been living with her for 3 months and has transformed her ill-kept home and garden and literally nursed her like a professional alone.
before i stepped in to help him care for her.
he repeatedly told her how much he loved her and was so caring, it brought a lump to my throat.. he has been going to church sunday mornings, telling her he 'was meeting up with friends' so as not to cause friction.but she knew where he had been.. we noticed a shift in her demeanour towards us (she knows i'm a church-goer) over the week-end and she started to.

Russia had option to be a part of EU, NATO, and any world's organization. They decided not to, instead driven by ambition of madman recreating USSR. It became a lost possibility to be accepted as normal, democratic country. It is becoming the same as interwar Germany and looking to confrontation with every its neighbors.
Every corner of this planet was invaded by one or another. Russia invaded every country east of France, and every Slavic capital in the past 200 years. Austria-Hungary was attacked by Russia in 1914 even without declaration of war fueling WWI. France was agressor during Napoleon, Germany under A.H. not to mention all these crazy bloodthirsty tyrants in Asia, Middle East, or Ancient past.
What has EU to do with NATO enlargement? EU never wanted to expand into East at the first place. NATO and USA had an agreement with USSR, not with Russia. EU had not invaded anyone either and neither has a capability to do so. EU does not equal USA, nor West equal EU and NATO. If you cannot make any difference between these, all debates are pointless on this topic.

Majority of the mammoths went extinct during interglacial period that was between 25 and 16 thousands years ago. Some species survived in Siberia and Alaska after last glacier period which ended 10000 BC and lived until the 500BC as small version of their ancestors. While elephant and mammoth lived partially in the same era, they lived in totally different climate and had different diet.

DJS you are very correct. Russia will feel the pain from international isolation. Its primary export, which energy and minerals, will suffer. Economy will enter recession. Putin expected Kiev to fall and Russia take over entire country like Crimea. This had not materialized. The war with Ukraine will weaken Russia considerabely. It is not like fighting Caucasus insurgency. Russia managed to put hostility among two biggest and most populous Slavic countries, and it will take generation to repair damage. Ask any southern Slavs what they think of Serbia. Putin is attempting to revive USSR and needs to show it for the masses. Additionally it is not ethnically homogenous country and any deep economic and social unrest will tear this country apart as it did with USSR. Anyone who thinks Russia can challange USA needs to have reality check. The same is puzzling why so many Westerners are so fascinated with Russia and openly support its conquest of its neighbors (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia). Even in 1939 during division of Poland, West supported Stalin. It took war with Finland to kick USSR out of the League of Nations, only one country that was ever, EVER, kicked out of it. After war until today, it is the same. How many of Westerners would support German's conquest of Europe? Not so many. One reason behind it is that German crimes were put into trial and revealed to the humanity. 50 millions of victims in the name of the barbaric communism organized from Moscow NEVER recieved much attention.

- World is complicated place, and there are always winners and losers. Current word is moving toward large block on global scale immitating European gameplan of domination and balance checks known as quadruple alliance (France, Russia, Britain, Prussia/Austria). Today we have USA, EU, China, and Russia, nothing more or less. The quadruple alliance lived for 200 years
- "world will be less driven by Western Elites towards war". Millions of Chinese would disagree when they witnessed their country being attacked and occupied by Japan. Mongols conquered most of Asia and Middle Eaast and killed millions of people. Ottomans did the same. Timur killed millions from Syria to India and from Tien-shen to Russia.

metatron, if you want to know why revolutions happend, I recommend a great book "The Anatomy of Revolution" by Crane Brinton. USA is not 3rd world country were masses are awaiting for leader who is daddy Stalin, Pol Pot, Hussein, or Tito. Anglosaxon mentality of independence, self reliance, and democracy is strong, and combine it with high living standard that majority in the world cannot dream to achieve it. American middle class is wealthy, wealthier than European counterpars. It is shrinking, and there is tons of problems with the middle class in USA, but it is unachievable for most Europenans. I been in EVERY European country from Scottland to Greece and from Spain to Finland. I was born to middle class family in Europe, yet, only 10-15% of Europeans have American middle class living in suburbia. Europe has better Interstate and railways, but they have horrible state and county roads, even in rich countries like Austria and Germany. I drove through California in Central Valley, along the coast on Rt 1 or through the Sonora desert, and the roads are excellent. Try taking roads between Vienna and Gmund, or between Passau and Regensbug, and compare the quality betwen CA and wealthiest region in Europe. California would win, even when German countryside is much cleaner.
USA is not finnished. It will be here for a while. It wont be here forever, as no country last forever. Even Roman Empire and British empire disintegrated. But it is premature to see and expect death of America (which is wish of many anti-americans world-wide) in our lifetime. It wont happen.
