Gay Jihadis?!
by LoveUniHateExams inapparently, aseel muthana, a yemeni-british man from cardiff, was radicalized to follow his elder brother to travel to da'ish.. he was encouraged by forhad rahman and two other extremists.
according to the gay times, muthana and rahman exchanged flirty texts, with rahman alledgedly calling muthana a welsh cutie.. when police arrested the three extremists for supporting terrorism, they tried to stop the text exchanges from being made public, out of concern for aseel muthana's safety - what with him travelling to da'ish, the possible gay nature of the texts, and da'ish's hatred for gay people.. i don't know if this is true, but it seems as if it is.
where to start?.

Many gay men went to Nazi party, served in SS, and were supporters of A.H. while their lovers were sent into the camps. Two weeks ago, I watched a documentary on Lida Baarova, who was a mistress of Joseph Goebbels. Eye witnesses from the WWII mentioned that Lida had on numerous occasion tried to seduce one of the highest SS commander and perpetrator of Holocaust, Horst Böhme, who was gay and she never got "lucky" with him. Yezov, one of the mastermind of Stalin purges and mass murderer during Moscow Purges was openly gay, which eventually led to his fall. -

Yes, for any music. For modern music, for techno, for folk music that my dad loved, for classical music, because it was used in church. -

Word is adjusting to the effect of economic recession that started in 2008. It affected finances, job market, housing, retirements and geopolitics. The world as result became unstable. I noticed that past several years, job market became again tighter. I have very specialized education and skills, have advanced degrees and certifications. Yet, the job market got tougher due bust in oil and gas exploration, which floods jobseekers in my field. Economic problems affected personal relationships and trust between government and population. I am personally very pessimistic on the economy and the politics as we deal with global structural crisis and global imbalances between various countries and segments of the population.
I do not think this has to do with JW upbringing. There are periods when mood is good, economy is prosperous, and leadership resonate with masses. This was already debated in the OT, but Greek, Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance era were full of years where good time were replaced with bad years. For example, my mom thinks she lives in best years, she was born during the Great Depression, lived through WWII and communism and she said except her health, she cannot complain. She was never more free, nor had as good living standard as she had past 15 years since she retired. My sibling is exactly opposite as she face uncertain job market, and skyrocketing child care costs.

Surge in Mormon Suicides
by cofty inlast november the mormon cult has issued new rules about homosexuality labelling those in same-sex relationships as apostates who can be excommunicated.
children of gay couples are now required to leave home and repudiate their parent's relationship before they can be part of the church.. at least 32 gay mormon youths have killed themselves since the announcement of the new policy, and there’s been an alarming increase of suicidal teens and twenty-somethings in the church.....

Children of gay couples
Yes, many gay and lesbian people have kids. I know several of them. To be gay or lesbian does not make a person sexually impotent. Some gay couple adopt, have surrogate parent, went through artificial insemination, or taking care of children from their extensive family.

Leaked Elder's Video: How to deal with a suicidal sister
by cappytan inthis video will be played at one of the clam meetings in march 2016.. the content is kind of old news because it is a recut version of a previous video produced for the elder's school.
however, it's still significant because it shows that the organization still has dissenting brothers in positions of leadership.. my thanks to the leaker.

Drama here, drama there, drama everywhere. Were all works in progress are we not?
This is one the most sociopathic remark on this discussion. Here are people debating such grave issue, such as suicide, which touched many people personally. In my time in KH, I knew wonderful, loving sister, who was also close family friend for decades, who committed suicide. This is a drama and tragedy. Considering that this nice lady had one unsuccessful suicide attempt, elders in the KH should at least have a courtesy and provide true missionary work and channel her through mental facility. After her attempt, she was wheelchair bound and except me and my mom, nobody from my KH even bothered to visit her. So, any progress you should be concerned, is only yours, because there is a lot of things that needs be done.

Real, practicing Jew will not accept Jesus as a Messiah. It is not possible to reconcile both religions due different theology. Jews do not believe in Jesus sacrifice for paying out for sins of the humanity. However, Jews recognize that one point in time there was a guy name Jesus, who was a Jew, and had done great deeds. But he did not fulfill expectation to be a Messiah. Messiah would usher a new period of peace for humanity, which did not happen 2000 years ago. -

I have too much crap!! How to declutter/dehoard.....
by Muddy Waters insome areas of our home are very nice, tidy, clean.
and other rooms are just junk and clutter and clothes and papers.... omg.
and now that we are getting older, we realize that we face a time of transition -- and this is hard to cope with too, as we believed the lie that we would never get old, etc.

Hoarding can be dangerous. It possess health and fire hazard, and can make house unsafe. I know two separate incidents when hoarders killed due their impulsion several other people and they never faced even criminal charges. Many years ago, there were hoarding couple in my hometown well known for patrolling all dumpsters and filled their house from basement to roof with trash. They never threw even a newspaper. Once they managed to break to chemical waste dumpster, and brought several containers with unknown chemical in it in to their house. Chemical reaction cause a huge explosion that was seen from every part of the city. They lived in medieval center of the town and they destroyed the house. One firefighter, a my friend, died on the scene. Due unknown number of chemicals in the house, the military had to tear down the house. There was empty lot for years. Both received fines, but not a single day in jail. Another time, an elderly woman collected newspapers and cardboard that filled her apartment to ceiling. There was only narrow corridor to get through. Short curcuit set the place on fire. She survived, but woman living above her burned to death.
The best way to go through staff, and regularly throw items away. Put them by the curb, sell them on ebay, donate them, set them on fire on your backyard.

Pioneer woman, close friend of my mom, committed suicide. KH solved the problem that they never talked about her like she never existed. I do not think one promotional/educational video will change it. -

Why would anyone choose to support Jehovah’s Witnesses?
by Half banana inwhat is the point of supporting a belief which began as a bronze age ox-headed idol called yahweh... in a religion designed for illiterate peasants now appropriated by a money-driven cult with a one hundred and forty six year unbroken record of total failure of its bible based predictions?.

Some may be too old to start over and they are content with their social life.
This is the case of my mom. She has many friends in various KH, so she also travels pretty much every other weekend, and it becomes a part of her life. She knows TTATT, but she really does not care about it at her age. Plus, I have half of family in WT, so she feels interconnected with relatives. Leaving WT would severe her social life, so she continues to go to the KH.

It is the thought that counts
by Fisherman inspain was one of those countries that was more catholic than the pope.
and back in medieval times people had no choice but to go to mass and confession and be good catholics –or else.
anyway, back in them days, in spain, when someone went to confess their sins to a priest, it was face to face.

Confessions in late medieval and early modern Europe had tremendous potential for blackmail and was used extensively by ruling elite to coerce population into compliance. Public confessions by priest in front of the community were popular in Frankish Empire. Once parish churches became established everywhere, Church through confessions acquired opinion on public mood and social issues, while at the same time got a personal file on anyone wrongdoing. Protestant reformation in Central Europe removed confessions as one of the grave violation of biblical doctrines. Poland on the other hand did not experienced Protestant Reformation, and confessions and even pilgrimage to specific confessions became very popular there till 20th century. In Bohemia, Hungary which experienced both Reformation and counter-Reformation, confessions did not had much prominent role in the church and spiritual life.
