  Demon attacks on JW in past, where'd they go?

  in the 80's and 90's (maybe even earlier) i remember hearing lots of witnesses talk about "demon attacks".

  whether it was someone studying the bible who then started having strange things happen in their house to people bringing stuff home from yard sales and getting personal attacks and horrible dreams resulting in them dystroying stuff they brought home or getting rid of it.. .

  i also remember hearing a sister say she had to pray in a home with a study because the study started to get attacked.

  Exactly Viviane. The same is with sighting of Virgin Mary, which occurs only Catholic countries where her cult is strongest.

  I Don't Think The Witnesses Really Care If You Can Explain Doctrine As Long As You Accept Them!

  gone are the days of getting into discussions about their beliefs.

  doing major research to prove a position or watchtower doctrine is a thing of the past.

  all they want from you is to surrender and accept everything they say as undeniable truth.. do you agree?.

  I would say one of the major fallout with JW education of their own doctine lies with time when they stopped having bible book studies. I have notices that their knowledge of bible went down. WT dedicates all their effort on several chapters of the bible and everything else is irrelevant. Any new light is accepted without doubt, and sheeps are happy with the new revalations.

  Jews do not believe that Jesus was messiah and his NT testimony does not matches what they were expecting. Additionally, many of you are hooked upon Roman destruction of Temple in 70AD, but during III Jewish uprising, which happened 45 years later, Jews were expelled and banned from Jerusalem by Imperial decree. Temple was looted out and many Jews were enslaved, but their faith was still accepted by Roman government through entire Empire. 2/3 of Jews lived outside Judea and had no whatsoever any ties to the II Jewish war and fall of their ancestral homeland in 70AD. There were more Jews in Alexandria than in Jerusalem. Judea was primitive, impoverished empire on the edge of civilization in comparison to core provinces like Egypt and Magna Grecia. When III Jewish revolt occurred, Jews were persecuted throughout entire Roman Empire. OT and all Jewish texts were outlawed. Jews were allowed back to Jerusalem 250 years later by Emperor Julian Apostate. Anyone who lived thorugh depopulation of Jerusalem in 115-135 was not contemporary of Jesus.

  I remember demon's preoccupation with JW through entire time. My family thinks that they are haunted by demons because they are in truth. When the weather is bad for KH or DC, it is because of demons. My elders were haunted and hunted by demons. Around 1990 my elder told me that he get harrassed by demon every time he is preparing for book/bible study. When he sits to study bible and brochures, the demon disturbs him. He had a soccer ball that would start bounce around and demon wanted to play. He would call God's name and that would stop.

  In the 1980's I heard the strangest demons' attack on group of three elders who were sitting on sofa when a bookshelve collapsed on them. Because this was simple shelve that was mounted into the wall, I had enquired if they take a possibility that the shelve was not mounted properly. That remark was not taken lightly and was actually counselled by my elder.

  Since I have left 20 years ago, not demon sighting, no bouncing balls, no falling bookshelves...

  MH17 Shot down by Ukrainian Government

  "the new straits times article, titled "us analysts conclude mh17 downed by aircraft," lays out evidence that ukrainian fighter aircraft attacked the jetliner with first a missile, then with bursts of 30-millimeter machine gun fire from both sides of mh17.

  the russian army has already presented detailed radar and satellite data showing a ukrainian sukhoi-25 fighter jet tailing mh17 shortly before the jetliner crashed.

  the kiev regime denied that its fighters were airborne in the area, however.

  I agree with Prologos, I would wait for official investigation report. I do not believe it was shot down by Ukraine, as the plane was traveling west to east through entire airspace of the country and was shot down as it was about to enter Russian airspace. Ukraine lost several fighter jets and separatists are capable to do shoot plane 10 miles up.

  JW follows pre-tribulation eschatology, but bit twisted view as was formulated by various religious crazies in Northern America during the Second Great Awakening. Armageddon is the final part of the Great Tribulation as was formulated at years I was in the cult. The best topics on it I remember was from study of the book of Revelation.

  Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

  one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?

  if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

  I had actually browsed old news Czech media and exactly the same suicide happened in 2003 when entire JW family (parents and two children age 9 & 11) died by exhaust pipe put into their car. I wonder if these two cases were interconnected and the families knew each other and later the other imitated the same end. However, both families were from different congregation and lived 100km apart. The case I remember happened around the time I left cult in 1994, the other happend 8-9 years later. The difference between these two cases was that in the first one family had very young children-infant and toddler, while the other were more mature children.

  I bumped into this old threat, but I heard a case in Czech Republic around 1995 when family drove with their car to the river south of Prague, put plastic tube from their exhaust pipe into the car and turned the engine running. Family of four had died, JW man, woman, and two their children. It was also widely reported by the press.
