The Saturday Paper
by smiddy inhi barbara , and ex j.w`s.
i just thought i would fill you in on the first issue of the saturday paper in australia which was march the 1st 2014 , with a first edition of 100,000 papers,.
i believe it currently covers sections of victoria , canberra , and sections of new south wales.. morry schwartz and the monthly quarterly essay seem to be the prime backers.. while i applaud the article of the 1st of august against j.w`s and wish this had got more widespread coverage , the fact remains that this publication has limited distribution .. with your high profile could you help to get this article from "the saturday paper" more widely distributed across the world ?

Well for what its worth smiddy a couple of us back here in South Africa have spread it on every e-mail we have in our contacts - it was a beautifully written article btw ! And will continue to post it on to other media agencies.
I know that the piece which appeared in our News24 Channel was picked up by a lot of Borgites! One is in my family - Have also pissed off most of the Borgian FB "friends" I have had with it - they have unfriended like a Tsunami!

I too value Blondies track record here btw - So apologies if I altered the tenor of the thread ! And apologies to blondie !
Now where were we.......................?
One of the unknowns to us here on JWN right now is how far-reaching the news of and the proceedings of the ARC have gone thus-far. Borg does not like tarnish on its image - and also anything which could affect the intake of $$$$, which seems to be a vital area of Borgian focus at present.
Whether any change will occur / or it will occur on a localised level remains to be seen. eg the change to donations for literature in my country occurred several years after it had changed in the US and only when the IRS started to apply some heat to the local Borg regarding it and the fact that Bethalite's are not unpaid volunteers as they claimed but are employees as defined in our labour laws-

WT Lawyer trying to force His Honour to allow Miss Apple to garner more info showing how good WT is
by umbertoecho inhello to all who are watching.
his honour is being tested by wt lawyer in the last thirty minutes of day 4. the lawyer wants to bring in updates on the societies handling of child molestation cases.. his honour tells the lawyer that if he "lawyer" wants a contest between who is better than who....forget it.. his honour is slightly pissed off as wt lawyer just won't back down and insists that this evidence is very important and........"progressive" ( i think ) his honour then continues to tell nice wt jerk type lawyer, that if he thinks this will dispel all that happened to past victims..........think again.. i rough summary but fairly accurate people......god, that wt lawyer is a hateful lying, scheming son of a bitch........

From Page 89 of Day 4 Transcript - onwards:
Q. As his Honour has raised with you, one of the
difficulties that has been experienced, and this is no
fault of your own and no criticism of you, but the opinion
expressed in paragraph 36 is a compendious opinion,
obviously based upon what you have read and your
experience. Would it be of assistance to you if you were
able to provide a more fulsome, perhaps supplementary
report expressing the reasons and setting out the
documentation that you relied upon in coming to the
conclusion in paragraph 36?
A. It's a small research project, and so I haven't had an
opportunity to do that, where I laid out the years and the
different organisations and the practices that are in
place. If it was helpful to the court, then I could do
that.
Q. So if his Honour were to give permission for you to
provide a supplementary opinion, you would be prepared to
undertake the task of setting out in a more fulsome way the
reasons you have for reaching that opinion?
A. If I were asked to, yes.

THE CHAIR: Mr Tokley, I can appreciate why you ask the
question, but the issue for us at the end of the day is not
who is best.
MR TOKLEY: Understood, your Honour.
THE CHAIR: What we have agreed, I think, is that there
are some problems with the current structure of the
processes. That's clear.
Q. Am I right?
A. Yes.
THE CHAIR:
Q. We have agreed that.
Now, I don't know of any other religious organisation
which, which is how this is framed, which has the processes
with the flaws that we have identified in the Jehovah's
Witnesses. They may have other flaws - indeed, we have
published some reports about other religious organisations
already. So certainly if you wish the doctor to do that
work, that's appropriate.
MR TOKLEY: Thank you, your Honour.
THE CHAIR: But I have to warn you, at the end of the day
the question is not who wins the competition, and what will
remain, as I understand at the moment, are the flaws in
your client's current processes.
MR TOKLEY: That's understood, your Honour, but
Dr Applewhite is here to assist the Commission. As
Dr Applewhite has said, she is not an advocate for any
party, and we consider that it would be, if it is of
assistance to the Commission, it should be offered to the
Commission.
THE CHAIR: What would be of greatest assistance is not an
expression of opinion as to who is best and who is worst,
but an expression of opinion as to what are the good things
and what are the bad things, both in the Jehovah's
Witnesses and in any else's processes, you understand?

A mutual friend [to me and the Forum] managed to get a major news channel here to run with the story and it certainly got picked up by a Heavily-In relative ...so maybe we should all "get it out there" to the extent possible.
I have mailed a string of JW's with Quotes and Links - Zippo responses thus far but they have received the info.
I also reminded those e-mailed that they always go on about "Leave it in Jehovah's hand he will sort it out" - Well just maybe this is one such a sort-it-out moment in time eh !

blondie " You are what we call a shit-stirrer here, apropos considering your username." WTF are you ranting about ?? Your comments hardly made much sense either ! Are you now a self-assuming "heavy" on the forum because of your long-standing membership here ...or can we blame it on the blue Moon ?
I did not see anything untoward with what the poster "poopie" said [btw I like that name!]
Calm down ...breathe ! Don't forget the meds!
