Nephew’s JW Fiancée Begins Conversion to Judaism Due to Passover Date
by Rabbi Midge init’s been a while since i posted, but for those who remember, i came on here to get some information about jehovah’s witnesses because i have a nephew who was getting engaged to a girl who was a jehovah’s witness and, along with some other sites, i was recommended this one.. since then we’ve been busy with passover and jehovah’s witnesses have had something they call the memorial of christ’s death (i believe i have that right).
this clashing of the two observances apparently did more for this girl than anything else i ever saw in our months of conversations with her.. respectfully, jews do not proselytize.
these are people who, of their own desire, “join the tribe” after some years of study and practice--something this girl has just begun to do.

Wow - given that so much of JW Doctrine is WRONG and that so much of the WRONG doctrines have been devised from the OT / Hebrew Scrip. /Mosaic law it seems like a step in a rather crazy direction to convert to Judaism !?
I have daily dealings with Jews and Israelis in particular and so many - the majority - are either out of it, even Atheist or simply keep going with the Traditions and Formalities - but not on a spiritual plain at all -

to date, 3.5 million dollars was collected and 75 acres was purchased.
the branch decided that this assembly hall was not needed.

I watched a cart gig on Saturday morning - I was in a Coffee Bar across the road from the cart working on the Internet - and in 2 hours they did not engage a single soul nor did a single soul take anything off the cart - They just stood there in a very frozen pose [in a cold wind] and chatted to each other. The man in the party didn't even fetch the lady a warm coffee in all that time.
As a Social Responsibility initiative they could at least distribute Free Condoms from the cart .......this is after-all Africa where HIV is rife !
