Today's WT study! So hypocritical!
by stuckinarut2 inso today's study is all about being kindly, and not judgemental to those in the congregation....we don't know their circumstances etc.... i can't believe the hypocrisy being spewed out...both in the article and by means of the answers from the audience!.
we know the reality is so different!
unless a witness does everything exactly as the gb directs...in every aspects of life, they are effectively no longer a good person, but are viewed as spiritually lacking or weak..... they are going directly beyond the biblical directives, and being ones who condemn, rather than ones who commend!.

When I was in the cult, Several times I asked the fellow believers about donating to charities and natural disasters. Invariably everyone advised me to provide the donations to the Watchtower, which they mentioned was the most charitable thing to do.

Bible Atrocities
by Trapped in JW land ini really can't wrap my head around how people can still consider god loving with such atrocious biblical accounts such as, 1 samuel 15, (god ordering the slaughter of amelikite baby's and children) 2nd kings 2, forgot the verses (god sending bears to maul 42 children) and many others.have you ever asked a witness or anyone elsewhat they think about these accounts?
what was their response?
i'd love to ask one, but unfortunately i'm still physically in the cult and i wouldn't want to raise any suspicions.

Cofy, APPRECIATE your time for the brilliant summary. When I left the WT, I asked an elder if he would have killed the Children, if he had been living back then in Moses time. He said "Sure I will"
That confirmed my thought that people would even murder for the sake of religion.

Do you think it's rude or disrespectful to be in the bathroom for any reason while the brother is praying?
by toto555 ini had a publisher tell me this recently that she felt that it showed disrespectful to the brother up there giving the prayer, like you're ignoring him or something.
what do you think?
and if so, any bible scripture or watchtower or awake backing this idea up specifically?.

Prayer is talking to ourselves. So it wont be rude, if you are doing whatever you want, during that insanity.

THE PROBLEM with reading the Bible literally is . . . you can't think too hard
by Terry ini want to begin with a quotation by stephen colbert: "we're not talking about truth, we're talking about something that seems like truth the truth we want to exist" - stephen colbert on the origin of the word "truthiness.".
moses brought 10 plagues upon egypt to change pharoah's mind about letting jehovah's people go.. the 5th plague is to destroy only the egyptian livestock:.
6 and the next day the lord did it: all the livestock of the egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the israelites died.. a few days later the 7th plague is described:.

The complete Bible is a Sribbling by ancient midle east nomads, who had no other work to do. These ridiculous (Plagues of Egypt) stories is an insult to the intelligence of anyone who takes time to read these nonsense.

wearewatchingyouman So, to whom is that Exodus 22: 18 verse applicable ? Can that be practiced today ? This verse, as I understand talks about common Withces and not about Witches in a certain group. If Catholics/Protestants deliberately misinterpreted the bible, what is the correct interpretation for this verse(atleast). Also, why didnt the WT mention about this verse and said it was misinterpreted.

The Irony is, the article never quotes Exodus 22: 18 which says” “You must not allow a sorceress to live”
I am pretty sure all the Witch Killings by Christians, was based on the above verse in the Bible.
Do you see how the Watchtower deliberately deceptively and dishonestly hides this Bible verse here, throwing all the blame on those catholic and Protestant Inquisitors, as if they did it on their own.
To a thinking person, there is nothing called a Witch. It’s all simple trickery. The people back then (Including the guy who wrote Exodus), were superstitious enough to think or duped that Witches had evil powers.
