i have posted less and less personal threads because less and less jw-related activity has happened in my life.

my jw mother called me on friday and asked me if i could do something on saturday.

i was sure my wife would ask me if anyone asked about her, and what i said.

Seems we have a similar situation. I have a JW wife and mother and had similar events like this. I was a JW for 11 years and finally disassociated. I never miss your comments or posts, as they are very sensible. Appreciate your humor on the beheading in birthday parties. Thanks for your time in drafting that lengthy email. I think i am not under the influence of Marie Antoinette Effect. But rather, scrutinizing all religions, especially Christianity, with an open mind and just reading the Bible as it is, for what ts says. With this approach, I find the Bible to contain too many discrepancies, contradictions, silliness, evilness and ignorance, to consider it to be the word of god. Also, your statement as quoted, implies to me that you are trying hard to retrofit those verses to defend god and project it in a favorable light.

The "bad" or "evil spirit" mentioned in these texts is a euphemism for a mental disorder.

Last weekend I was watching Darkmatter2525 on youtube and came across this new thing in the Bible. Jehovah has evil spirit!! Was just wondering how I didn’t come across this absurdity when I was a JW for 11 years. Also, I have never heard an explanation on this from the Kingdom Hall Platform, or have I missed.

Jah is supposed to be the holy of holies and an epitome of perfection. How can he have evil spirit? This sounds Absurd and ridiculous to me. (Along with all the absurdities in the Bible). Another credible proof that the Bible was written by senseless and ignorant people. Have any of you heard an explanation for this during your life as a JW? Of course if we ask a JW about it, I bet that they would spin it such as “Its actually not an Evil spirit but Jahs Anger”

Strange stalking from JW's...Please help

i just recently stopped attending.

i keep getting messages, emails, texts and voice mails asking if i'm ok. they all say the exact same thing.

it's creepy and a bit scary.

When I was fading, I experienced the same. Dubs would come to my home and would try to figure out what was wrong with me. I would tell them that I have lost my faith in this WT religion due to a number of reasons. I would take that opportunity to tell them the TTATT. And finally they stopped coming

Finally I wrote the letter of disassociation. All this I did because I was immensely confident that my wife and mom (Still JWs) won’t ditch me, due to my disassociation. It’s again a culture thing and your repercussions may be different. I am from India.

And I am happier now after leaving the cult. Your situations may be different. Proceed with caution.

I had always Wondered why they give such an Importance to Christoper Columbus who just came in as a nomad. He didnt really discover Amercia. This country was already there, with its native inhabitants. And I have also read that CC brought in diseases along with his people, which were entirely new to the native Indians here. And more important CC and his team plundered and Massacred in this land. What is the need for a day to be observed in his name then ?
