Jehovah instantly wipes out the ancient tribes for rebelling or not worshiping him or for other silly reasons. But still he hasn't destroyed the rebelled mighty angels who are far more powerful than humans.

The bizarreness of Genesis 6:2
by doubtfull1799 in"the sons of the true god began to notice that the daughters of men were beautiful.
so they began taking as wives all whom they chose.".
it may be feasible to some to accept the bible's assertion that the first humans were tempted to pursue independence from god, especially since they were created in his image and he is independent from any authority.

Yesterday's Watchtower Study 11 June 2017
by BluesBrother in"what will go when god's kingdom comes?
" from april w/tower.
we start with a picture of jesus riding a white horse into battle, galloping towards terrified people in darkness.

Why cant Jesus upgrade to a better mode of transport, instead of horse. Is this a "spiritistic" horse ? Sarcasm works and would make some JW feel, its all nonsense. Breaking their fear tactics with ridicule is the best strategy I have experienced.

Freddo.
Also, I haven't met my BS conductors for nearly 20 years and they may or may not be aware that I became an Apostate. Highly likely to meet them soon, at my home town in India. They were indeed good people and that's why I even think about this

Everyone,
I was a JW for 11 years , came to know TTATT and wrote my disassociation letter 5 years ago. Since then I had been an atheist and trying all I can to spread awareness for “still in” members. My wife and mom are still JWs and I do get along with them perfectly. Very often I would imagine how to react if I come across the people who took Bible Studies for me, which eventually led to my baptism as a JW.
There were 3 people involved in my JW conversion. Two of them took Bible studies and another was a great motivator. They are all still fervent JWs. If I get a chance to meet them again, Can I politely tell them that I wasn’t taught the real history about JWs and this Eventually led to me exiting it ? Any Similar experiences?

Why does this forum tolerate Cold steele and his mormonism beliefs ? Who`s next ?
by smiddy ini thought this forum was for people who were ex jw`s and pro jw`s and the like to debate ,discuss and reasonably talk about our differences ,and sometimes drift off into politics world events and whatever.. however over a period of time i have come across cold steel `s many posts which are nothing more than promoting his mormon religions point of view./beliefs what has that got to do with jehovahs witnesses and the concerns many have with the jw religion.?.
it seems to me he is using this forum to promote his religion and is getting away with it over a long period of time.. how long before other cult religions see this as a springboard for promoting their own religion such as .
sda`s ,christian scientists , christadelphians ,beroean bible students ,etc.etc.. where will it end if he is able to keep doing this ?.

Any Ex Cult member, who has exited the cult after much research on religions, are immune to any religious propaganda thereafter. I admire this site for free speech.

Is there anything recent in the publications about Jesus only being the ransom for annointed?
by NikL ini was trying to find something recent that i can show "still ins" in my sphere but it is proving harder than anticipated.. most of what i am seeing is couched in confusing goblygook wt style prattle.. my wife argues that it's not even true and i think that's the case with most jaydubs.. so i guess if it is a teaching that is being allowed to fade, maybe it's not worth pursuing?.
any of you scholars out there got anything recent clear and handy?.

Revelation 7:11 All the angels were standing around the throne and the elders+ and the four living creatures, and they fell facedown before the throne and worshipped God, 12 saying: “Amen! Let the praise and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength be to our God forever and ever.+ Amen.”
What a Purposeful creation !!

Due to my overzealous spirit as a JW, I hurt many Christendom relatives and friends accusing them as Babylon the Great and serving Satan. I apologize to them now, admitting my stupidity.

Welcome to the forum.
There is no need to go anywhere. This is Just another form of threat from cults, for people who wish to leave.
Baptism is a an ancient ritual that locks you in a religion and makes you a slave of it. Nothing more. When I was baptized I never felt the Holy spirit (Even anytime thereafter in all my 11 years as a JW) because this Holy spirit and stuff are all just imaginations.
I quit praying during the last few years as a JW because I realized that prayer is nothing but talking to ourselves. Nothing is as ineffective as Prayer.
Do a research about religions that you are inclined to, and you will know the truth. Just live your life. Make others and yourself happy. Life would be fulfilling.
