Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs
by Lady Lee inthw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

I personally know 3 separate cases. They're talk about so harshly afterwards. It's sickening. -

I'm sorry but these guys are assholes. As much as you may disagree with a religion it's just rude and disrespectful to carry on like that and interrupt something that they hold as dear. -

Circuit Assembly outline
by jdubsnub ini've been out of the religion for a little while now but my family is still "strong in the truth".
i got a call today asking if i could stop by to have a discussion.
they just had their circuit assembly and this is typically when they decide to talk to me, while they're spiritually energized hah.

That's exactly what I was looking for OneEyedJoe! I figured there was a talk that stirred them up.

I agree that nothing will complete change everyone's mind but I do feel that some type of recording, whether its audio or visual, of the GB saying something incriminating would wake up a large number of people. It's really not that far fetched to think this will happen in the near future. Things are getting harder and harder to hide now in this age of information. They will slip up at some point. Especially with this new TV studio and filming they're doing. They're on film a lot more than before and it only takes one disgruntled employee errrrrr I mean bethelite in the right spot to leak something. Again, it'll never wake up everyone, but lets keep hope alive!

It's amazing how they have cut back actual readings of the Bible and discussion of specific verses over the years. Isn't that the whole purpose of meeting together? Aren't we supposed to discuss scriptures? They dedicate 3 minutes or less to actually reading the bible. Absolutely ridiculous!

On Tattoos
by tim hooper intattoos may look great for a while on a young person, but as you get older they'll just look plain stupid.
your credibility will fade as you and your tattoo age together.
your skin will be permanently stuck in a timewarp, like some old newspaper headline that once meant something but later becomes meaningless.

I hate when people say "what will it look like when you're old??". It'll look like anything else on your body at that age...OLD AND WORN hah. Now I do think people should think a little more before they get tattoos as they are permanent but to use the old age excuse is a little silly in my opinion. I love my tattoos and I plan to get more.
