  I've always felt so bad for ones who are gay. It's hard enough being stuck in this cult, let alone not being told that you're evil. If I was gay I would have such a tough time sitting at the hall and listening to the homophobic comments made. It's disgusting. Well hang in there and welcome to the forum!

  as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.

  i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.

  not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.

  when i was a kid in the early 90's there always seemed to be a mention of how demons posessing people or how if you saw a demon or something supernatural occuring mearly calling jehovah's name would rid you of the situation.

  rarely now a days do you hear anything of the sort.

  that got me to thinking, what are some other topics the society has backed off of?

  I'm currently dealing with that issue. I've had a beard for the past 2 months. The brothers haven't been able to give me any solid reason to shave it. I have a "skin condition" haha

  So we've now been reassigned to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre. Makes no sense seeing that this arena seats no more than Trenton's Sun National Bank Center or Readings convention center that we usually are assigned to. Now we have a freaking 2 hour drive and it's going to be hell trying to find a hotel. I'll be ok if I decide to go, but it's absolutely ridiculous to expect the majority of my congregation, made up of elderly with low income, to make it up there. GB could care less though. So frustrating!
