much has been commented here on how jw's rely on an ever-changing membership for keeping their 'the sky is falling, the world is ending' doctrine fresh.. recently it was posted that fully 2/3 of born-in jw's leave at some point, and i thought you might like to see how this works in practice.. so lets take sam and i and our extended families - we were both born and brought up jw's.
start with me.
mum and dad were converted in the 1950's.
My family is a bit smaller but
'60 - grandma, mom, me and two sisters
'70's and '80's, me mom, two sisters+husbands, my husband, four kids=11
90's I woke up and left, my four kids came with me, ex-husband out but still thinks it's the truff
My two sisters and one bil are left, no kids. Sweet! Three left.

Sounds like you have good reason. He is emotionally abusive and manipulative. Of course he wants you to think it's your fault! Think of those children; do you want them growing up believeing that this is how to have a proper marriage and family life? Do you want your daughters believing that this is how they should be treated? Is this how you want your sons to model how they will treat a wife? I'm not trying to be harsh but to ask the same questions I ws asked.

i just wat to inform you that i have from absolutely trustworthy sources that rolf furuli (one of the absolutely best known and most recpected elders in norway, and altso a scolar known as a hard core 607-apologist among opposers) did have a local needs speech last week (or maybe the week before) where he went directly against the watchtower anti college education pollicy and warmly recomended all the young ones in the congregation to go on and get them self educated.. i wonder for how long ha can keep his position??

When I lived in Central PA, an elder in my cong was removed for letting his son go to college. He was the most prominent elder in the cong, bethel connections, but the country elders determined he was going against the society and remove him. His oldest daughter had given up a full ride to Radcliffe to pioneer; maybe he saw what a waste that was and how different her life could have been.
