Yes jc1225 the divinity of Christ is central to Christianity. It's another good example of why JW's are not Christians but a group that worships their organization.

Divinity of Christ
by jc1225 inchrist calls himself god, the jews think he called himself a god and threaten to stone him.
jesus refers to himself and the father as one.
he says he can do things previously ascribed to the father.

We didn't land on the moon.
Aircraft contrails are actually chemtrails (the government is spraying poisons on the populace).
State birds are made illegal to kill by the government so poor people will have less food.
The foods the government says reduce cancer risk actually cause cancer (government population control).
The US goverment brought down the World Trade Center with planted exlposives.
I could go on.
I had reasoned with him in the past and he seemed to see through this garbage but recently he seems like he may buying into this paranoia. I feel angry and sick.

WHAT?S SO AMAZING ABOUT GRACE? Yancey
by yesidid ini found it the most upbuilding, faith-strengthening book i have ever read.
particularly coming from the judgmental wt system, it was like a comforting refreshing stream in which to bathe.
i know that many on this board no longer believe in god or the bible.

Good reads yesidid. I've read both The Jesus I Never Knew and Amazing Grace. The tone of those books is so different than anything JW's produce. They along with other books I've read by good Christian writers helped me to see how shallow and selfish the Watchtower religion is. I heard about his "Rumors" book. I may go pick that one up today.

Has the Watchtower Society ever been correct?
by Lewis ini'd really like to know if the wts has ever been correct ... in all honesty.
i don't mean subjective, fuzzy dogma that has no empirical basis ... i mean stuff like 1914 and the original idea that it would be end of the world; millions now living will never die; 1975; the generation will not pass away ... ad infinitum.
i have no axe to grind ... i'd really like to know.

Yes, the Watchtower has been correct about at least one thing. I recall them stating in a publication (don't remember which one) that if one stopped reading WT literature and read the Bible alone that person would return to Christendom, i.e. to Christianity. Kind of a telling statement don't you think?

No. Door to door lying and informal lying have worked pretty well for them so far. Why change. ;-)
