Reasons Why We Like or Love Jehovahs-Witness Discussion
by minimus inevery once in a while we get disturbed or annoyed over something that takes place here.
for a change, let's express reasons why we're happy to be here.......i'll give one reason amongst many.
there are so many enlightening posters here!

Its easy to relate to you guys. We've all been through the same crap in our lives. Its not the same talking JW stuff to people that havent experienced it themselves. I had a lot of anger in me as a result of the sh*t that I went through, and this site has definately helped in cooling down these emotions.
I've read many books recommended by posters on this site that I otherwise would not have read. My home library is growing with subjects that I would never have considered before I came here.

Did Satan lie or was it the truth?
by shotgun insatan the biblical originator of the lie...was he?.
god told adam:.
16 the lord god (56) commanded the man, saying, "from any tree of the garden you may eat freely; .

This is the first of many inconsistancies found in this storybook. Did Satan lie? It doesnt look like it. Did god lie? Most certainly. Now if the biblical God lies, the entire book falls apart.
Jesus cancels Adams sin is one of those stories that is so weak, my 5 years old daughter could probably do better. Say for instance shotgun steals, is caught and the judge demands a death sentence. Up pops Special K who says "I know Shotgun is guilty and that I'm innocent, but if someone has to die, let it be me" I find it insulting that I am expected to believe this "story" as truth.

Speaking of the latest magazines...
by Odrade indid anyone see the recent questions from readers that cautions against about using gift registries for you wedding?
no joke.
sept 1, 2003.whether a couple who are getting married wish to use a gift registry is a matter for personal decision.

Its not as if they buy gifts for any other occation. No Birthday, Christmas, Easter. You'd think witnesses would jump at the chance of giving wedding gifts. 300 people attended my witness wedding and scoffed loads of lovely food and drink, and yet only two people bought stuff that was on our list. Most, if not all of the gifts were bought by people who were considered well off, yet the stuff bought was so cheap and nasty that, in a fit of anger I returned most of them. (someone bought us a coo-coo clock made out of cardboard!!!) I do recall that even though Anniversary gifts were tolerated, they were hardly ever given. I dont think it has anything to do with the price of the gifts, but has everything to do with wasted money that could be used in
buying more real estatefurthering the Global preaching work. -

I think I'd heat the pins in a flame as an added touch LOL!
Oh yeah! I'd use them. My elder father in law would be first...I'd go for the eyes! My mother in law would be second...and when I'd finished, I'd pin her mouth shut.
Most of the elders from my old cong. would be next on my list, followed my one or two of their wives and finally the governing body who I would take my time over, and yeah, I'd heat the pins before I started!

GOD can advise us?
by Beans inwell i was at a funeral today and i was really listening to what the pastor was saying and trying to rationalize the message he was expressing.
he said that god could not help us or explain to us why this person had passed on but he could help us understand it!.
so here we have the supposed someone or something who has the power to do all and make things right yet he will let you die but he will graciously help you understand.. what a farce this god is, one more reason for me to have no belief in this fairytale book called the bible.. beans.

The Gods of the bible would constantly intervene in mankind's affairs, so it seems reasonable that some would expect him to do so today. When he doesn't, some have a tendency to turn their back on God. This is just one reason why I no longer believe in the bible or its mythological Gods. It gives people hope and then smacks them doen when they most need him. It would be nice to have some form of afterlife, but pretending there is one, doesnt make it so. Whats my reason for existence? To enjoy myself, look after my own and try to discover as much about our creator through his REAL word, and not some "idiots-guide" written centries ago.
