  Is the rank and file aware of the serious dilema the WTS is facing?

  the rank and file fears "apostates" hence jws will not accpet any evidence or arguments from succh like ones.

  the mind set automatically rejects any charges against the wts without examining facts obejectivle because the wts cannot be wrong.by definition jws view the wts as god's agency, so it cannot be wrong and even if it is wrong, it is for a reason that god is allowing it and it is god's arrangement and not the business of the rank and file to judge for themselves on that but,to leave it in j's hand and in time it will be taken care of.

  in law that is called a catch all, which is sometimes the power that a judge is empowered with by the state to use his discretion and do whatever the hell he wants, pardon the phrase.. it is true that the wts has opoosers that distort facts and trump up charges in order to discredit the wts, but false accustaions against thewts do not camcel out real evidence that challenges the wt and above and beyond wt teachings is the evidence that puts a differebnt spin on and shows another perspective of the bible, and the concept of god affecting in peoples lives.

  i am a lurker on the "witness world" witnesses-only website.

  they are having a discussion because someone during door-to-door service confronted them with the un letter.

  they are all saying that it is "obviously made up"... but the person is planning on writing to the society to ask.

  This is too funny. Was I ever that stupid? I've just tried opening an account on WW, but that part of the site seems to be down. Please keep us updated on the issues discussed there, as it gives us an understanding on how the Dubs react when dealing with apostate truths. That way we can fine-tune our arguments and counter arguments.

  I couldnt care less what some Jewish sect think, or any other religious organization, but I agree with your PC comment. The only thing I dislike more than Politically Correct comments, are the idiots who shout it out in the first place.

  lately ive been getting alot of negative comments from brothers,sisters and others about the length of my hair.

  i mean sure its long but theres nothing wrong about it.

  is there anything in the sciptures about hair length in men.. god its ridiculous when others try to put you down.. well you can judge for yourself.. .

  as i was trying to settle into my new life i constantly plagued myself with questions about where i had been and a bigger question, where i was going.

  in the mid eighties there wasn't easy access to any exjw's to ask questions and help me through a very difficult transition in my life.

  today the internet offers a lot of support through a large collection of exjw's from all over the world who offer many various options based on their own personal experience on where to go once you are out of the cult.

  I would buy an eight-ball (a bit over four grams) of coke and suck it up my now beet red nose in less than a week. It was a twisted and lost form of therapy

  Sounds familiar. I used that same form of "therapy" while still attending the meetings. Thankfully I had at least one real dub friend that pulled me out of it. But 4 grams a week.....?!?! Trust me people, that is A LOT!

  Generally, Witness Friends are no Prize

  in general, after nearly forty years in the "truth", i conclude that most witnesses are no prize as friends.. there are several reasons why:.

  their "love" is often very conditional and qualified - sort of a "i'll be your friend as long as you count time and attend meetings" situation.. they are often so busy with theocratic busywork ( field service, meetings) that they have little time left for anything .

  creative or interesting, like a real hobby.

  When I was DF'ed, only two Dubs continued to associate with me. One of them I later married and the other is still my best friend. I agree, witness friends are no great prize, but you can find a couple of gems if you're lucky.

  Beards: Growing One

  for those of you near to me, you've probably noticed, i have changed my looks.. yup, i decided, well.....it has been an on-going project: i'm growing a beard.. it's not your typical beard, i am trying to sculp it to some degree.. honestly: i hate shaving!

  at the same time, i am trying to do something interesting.

  I've had a beard for about 8 years now. Shaved it off last summer, which amused my kids for hours. My wife thought I looked like a potato without it, and begged me to grow it back.

  What is the purpose of life?

  things were different when you were active in the org.

  meetings, talks, service, assemblies, elders meetings, congrgational duties, busy with the hope of a reward of living forever and serving god with eternity in view.

  all of your efforts and goals related to being a jw, your thinking, your views, your life, your future all revolved aroung the org.. with all that aside, what are you doing now?
