Beating Utd makes City's season a success for us
You didnt just beat them, you crushed them! THAT makes it more satisfying even for us London boys. Now lets hope Sean Wright-Philips gets his England call.
a classic derby moment, first in our new stadium and we stuffed man utd 4-1, ruining their title hopes and possibly saving ourselves from relegation.. are man utd on the decline?
they are nowhere near the top in the league this season and were dumped out of europe too.
all we need now is for arsenal to do them in the cup and they finish with nothing !!

love_truth, in describing the utter dullness of jw assemblies and conventions, just gave me an interesting idea for a thread.
what were some of the ways you tried to make the hours pass?
some of mine: looking at the interesting refracting patterns the arena floodlights made on my eyeglasses when looking thru them at an angle.looking for people i knew from my congregation and others in the mass of people in the arena.counting the number of people leaving the section to go to the bathroompractice writing people's names in elvish scripthaving a conversation with friends a row behind me by passing notes back and forthseeing how many pages of my bible stick together when i slam a wad of gum in between its pages.. what else?
Wander around and check out sisters. Failing that, I'd daydream. After many years attending assemblies I learnt how to daydream for hours on end. The hours would just wash by and I wouldnt have absorbed a thing. Occationally I would be dragged out of my self hypnotic state when the seals clapped or laughed, but at that point I'd usually go for a wander, a spliff or a coffee.
i am proof reading a book about jehovah's witnesse's.
can any one tell me how much time a special pioneer has to put in service now,.
also what are the hours suggested for pioneers, & rank & file.
15 minutes is a joke...right?
part 2:
one great thing about children is that they are survivors, and they learn how to adapt to changes very quickly.. so the next stage of my life (11-15 years old) was really were i came to fully realize that this was it.
these were my new friends.
that if they don't love Jehovah..you don't want them as friends anyway"
I heard this over and over again. My mum physically removed my best friend from our house because he wasnt a witness and insisted I play with a neighouring witnesses child. Before condemning my friend, she could have found out that he was the one who was helping me in school subjects that I had problems with, yet the neighbouring witness child was stealing cars mugging old ladies, and just being a bad egg. (He's just been released from prison for armed robbery...8 years)

part 1:
it's a long story really.
there are many reasons i quit the jdubs.
Nice post Willie. Its always interesting to read stories of people indocrination and then exit from the WTS, and I'm constantly surprised how similar everyones storys are
She was one of those who got really (fanatically) into it right from the start.. you know, instantly turn their back on everyone and everything that they've ever known.
I was a little younger than you when Mum decided what we were all to become witnesses. However, your comment above describes her down to a tee. I sometimes feel the word fanatic isnt harsh enough to describe how zealous she was. Its also strange how in most cases the poor children never get a say. In my case, any opposition was met with severe beatings followed by a visit from the elders telling me to conform and that my immaturity is preventing me from the truth.
Then they're surprised I stopped going...sheesh. Looking forward to the rest of the post

After seeing them destroy Juventus at the w/e, I'd say AC Milan are the best team in the world.

Well done City. You've made it a little easier for Arsenal to get the treble!!
thanks to many fine posters i think we can make an intelligent choice.

JEHOVAH PROVIDES OUR DAILY NEEDS
Not with this garbled mess. (not the post, the orginal article) When will the R&F realise that this mess they study each week couldnt possibliy come from anyone other than a deranged control freak? The arrogance of the GB to actually suggest that God had a hand in writting this shit (and thats exactly what the article is about) makes me weep.
Thanks again Blondie for reminding me how stupid I once was ; )

?the bible ?
is quite a publishing phenomenon.
its initial release was during the reign of king james, a noted historical figure who would not be allowed into most western homes today, as he was known for not taking baths more than once a month.
Very very funny
