  Ridiculous ways you kept your "time going" in service?

  i used to go out early mornings with 2 pioneer elders, we would drive 20 miles out of the territory (a big no-no) to look for hikers to preach to lol of course there were never any hikers.

  then off to starbucks for another hour lol easy way to count 2-4 hours.

  i am chuckling as i write this, what a joke!.

  We had sort of a rule at my old KH: "If you give someone a tract at least once every 15 minutes you can count that whole time". So we'd find a random person every 15 minutes and force a tract on them just to keep the time going. Dreadful days...

  I have read through this entire thread... gotta say it is getting too long.

  I'd like to stress that it would be awesome to have it promoted to regional ex-JW forums (other languages).

  I speak Portuguese and could promote it to some PT speaking forums. For that to work, the date must be rendered Dec/10 and not 12/10 as that would cause confusion in other countries.

  Quick comments on the idea:
  

  • This can be taken to the next level by properly promoting it to regional ex-JW forums (other languages). Imagine elders everywhere around the world getting these letters, the paranoia it would create? (people will start saying that Jehovah is cleaning his organization before the end comes)
  • Not sure but, should it be written on the actual envelope that it is a DA letter? Do elders have to read it before forwarding it to the local branch? Cause if we did, there is a chance some other people would see it as well, adding to the effect of these letters.
  • If an anonymous letter is sent, I think it is important to mention that the person would not longer be a JW if the unfair, inhumane and anti-biblical shunning practice was not in place.
  • Have the likes of Cedars and others been engaged on this? Gotta get as many activists engaged on this as possible.
  • Can we by any chance have some way of counting how many letters have been sent? Would love to know how big the dissidence is. Maybe an anonymous Google Forms form would do it?

  That was because he is envious of sisters wearing "spanks" and because he himself wanted to be wearing "spanks" (or being spanked in his tight pants) lol

  If he can't wear them, then no one will wear them... makes sense.

  im sure you all have heard at one point or read that being an elder or ms isnt a position higher up but rather that you work under the congregation.. anthony morris just threw that out the window!

  i have privileges in the congregation and even i was offended and felt bad for anyone who was 23 or older and not a ms!.

  he goes on to tell this story of how a sister wanted to marry a brother and that anthony morris discouraged it because he was 23 and not an ms yet.

  I have known so many disgusting 23 y’old MS at my old hall that would make any sister miserable… And so many nice, hard working ‘regular’ brothers that were never given a chance to even become a MS cause they didn’t have the same ‘connections’ as some other brothers in the hall.

  This is just sad.

  if there was a pill you could give to your jw family members that would awaken their eyes to the truth about the cult, would you give it to them?.

  most would probably say yes.. but what about those who are completely institutionalized, the elderly, the super zealous, the geeky kids who have no friends, the misfits?.

  some people need "boundaries", they need someone to lead and give them directions, they need a sense of belonging, even in an organization that has no social programs.
