  Sole CHANNEL of communication?

  has the gb ever explained exactly how they supposedly communicate with god and get new light or other "inspiration" for their "spiritual dog food"?.

  do they all sit in a room together and hold hands and join one conciousness??.

  do they fall asleep and go to the dream world and talk to jehovah there like the movie inception or something??.

  i am pretty sure it has been discussed before here, but i just wanted to express how repulsive it is to me to see all that jw.org worship.. after looking at this picture, can you tell me where the jws are heading to?.

  My frist email letter from my JW Dad. So sad...

  i am in my early 30s and woke up to ttatt in late 2012. my dad just turned 65 in june!

  wow, i never saw that being possible.. .

  he just got himself a computer and was able to get internet in a remote location where he is serving as an elder with my mom (where the need is great) i was happy to see how he was able to send me a few notes saying hi and i was able to share some pictures of my wife and family, etc.. .

  hi there folks,.

  i no longer believe in a dime the wt corporation says.

  for over a year i've been inactive in field service and i skip meetings whenever i can.. all my family is jw, and that includes my spouse.. i have already come open with her and exposed the wt for what it really is.

  Thank you all for your responses, I really appreciateall your comments!

  Obviously people have mixed opinions on this, it really is a delicate decision with serious repercussions for both spouses.

  Just to make it clear: I haven't yet stopped going, but really wanted to.

  My wife and I have recently moved to a different city and that allowed me to not go to meetings for several weeks now.

  I still don't know what to do; recently she began to be really upset with me when I tell her I don't want to go to the meetings. She thinks I owe her that; which in some sense I do (she has been covering for me for a long time).

  At the same time, as some of you have mentioned, it might take a firm attitude on me to wake her up.

  Again, I deeply appreciate all comments above!

  a discussion of this talk on friday morning deserves its own thread.

  as i said elsewhere, it was a remarkable one.

  the speaker was manfred vencebi (google him - he's a bethel bigwig) and some of his remarks are real gems.

  One language in the new system

  so at the convention, one of the talks was about how all people will speak a single language in the new system.

  my ears perked up when i heard at the outset "now, we can't be dogmatic about this" because that immediately makes me think that they're backing away from a previously dogmatic stance.

  he went on to say that everyone will be speaking hebrew in the new system because "evidently" (another word that gets my ears to perk up these days) that was what was spoken before the languages were confused at bable.

  The friends at my old KH used to say that we would speak a mix of different languages, or Esperanto...

  I am fond of learning new languages, so that would be a bummer.

  Hi there folks,

  I no longer believe in a dime the WT corporation says. For over a year I've been inactive in field service and I skip meetings whenever I can.

  All my family is JW, and that includes my spouse.

  I have already come open with her and exposed the WT for what it really is. Anyone who has ever done that with a believing partner know how tough it can be.

  She has expressed her doubts about the borg but still faithfully believes everything they tough her.

  Last week I've mentioned about not going to meetings any more as those were just a waste of time to me. Even though she realizes that my beliefs are different now, she asked me to keep going with her.

  She hasn't told anyone about my situation and she has been supportive of me seeking other beliefs; she has been facing pressure from her family in order to help me go back in service.

  She has been coping with that kind of pressure from her family, my family and the friends at the KH for over a year now; and it hurts her to realize that I am not longer the JW brother she got married to.

  She told me several times that she wants to be with me regardless of what belief system I adhere to, even though it is hurtful to her.

  Do you think that I should continue attending meetings just to keep up appearences because of her?

  In the talk about religious freedom, one should be able to decide whether they want to attend services for a specific denomination... but in order to benefit a spouse, would you sacrifice 4 hours per week?

  i'm mentally out of this cult now but still trapped because of family.

  That statement about the organization being a mother to all JWs is just depressing.

  JW.ORG signs to be put on all Kingdom Halls! New directive.

  so i have been told that all kingdom halls are to have a large jw.org sign placed prominently out the front..... can anyone confirm this?.

  Hi to all,

  People in the Brazil forum have just posted a copy of the letter that talks about the JW.ORG sign. It seems that this is taking effect immediately for new hall constructions and gradually adding it to existing buildings.
