DJS: Maybe all this would not have become such an "issue" had the gay communities kept their bedroom practices EXACTLY where they belong in the bedroom. & not forcing their "Lifestyle" on Society at large. They have a tendancy to "really" put it in your face running around telling everyone and making a show of themselves. They always seem to have this tendancy to let "everyone" know what their sexual orientation is. In comparison to straights, there's no need for us to run around telling everyone in Society that we are heterosexual.

Being a christian is not being homophobic it is just that alternative lifestyle is not acceptable to the one that is worshiped in the Bible. He has His standard, we did not make up the rule. Being a SLUT is NOT acceptable either. Just because SLUTS are NOT acceptable does not make me a slut hater, but I wouldn't endorse that lifestyle either. UNLESS they TURN AWAY from that course then one would be pleasing to him. We all have free will to choose how we behave. We all desire to do things that we ought not, it is just that some of us control and gain mastery over that desire, others succumb. Heteorsexual or homosexual.Married or unmarried.

..hey guys I didn't want to upset or offend anyone by posting this, I just found it interesting from a "Christian" perspective. Is not or rather was not marriage between one man and one woman first instituted by "God". Why do gays insist on christian marriage in a church when clearly the scriptures condemn, if not to prove anything but a point of legality. If we were not dealing with corporate entities, governments and religion/churches there would not be a problem/issue. If it is so important for them to practice their rights why not start a gay church where they can apply their own rules and regulations. If christians were free under/in Christ, following the example of early christians meeting in small groups at each others homes,with the scriptures as our only authority focusing on loving and caring for each other(not publishing bibles & spending billions of man hrs preaching the WT) without some corporation(gov't or religious corporate entity) telling us what is and isn't acceptable to Him that we aim to please it wouldn't be an issue.

Anyway it is my belief that homosexuality maybe a choice in some instances but in the greater gay community I think they are created, like genetically modified so to speak sort of in regard to the daily exposure environmentally and dietary to gender bender chemicals. The gov't's would rather force acceptance of the new norm than take responsibilty. Providing a clean safe nurturing environment in which our selves and young could grow was just too much for them. Gay Danish couples win right to marry in church
Homosexual couples in Denmark have won the right to get married in any church they choose, even though nearly one third of the country's priests have said they will refuse to carry out the ceremonies.
The country's parliament voted through the new law on same-sex marriage by a large majority, making it mandatory for all churches to conduct gay marriages.
Denmark's church minister, Manu Sareen, called the vote "historic".
"I think it's very important to give all members of the church the possibility to get married. Today, it's only heterosexual couples."

But exactly what is “fundamentalism”?

So is Pope Francis rejecting those Christians that believe in a strict, literal interpretation of the Bible?

I think the real danger concerning sexual orientation is to the Church, because of their 501c status. Since they elected to go 501c, they have to comply with those rules. What if they start ordaining female pastors, then a homosexual person who wants to become a pastor is denied by the Church. Discrimination lawsuit ensues. The government will tell them either make that homosexual a pastor or lose your 501c status, which will also require the Church to pay back the tax exempt benefits they had gained since they became 501c.
