Who are doing Jehovah's will today? Brochure

this brochure is being studied, in the org starting form this week.

it rams lies down our throats, trying to convince us the the wt is god's organisation.

it lies to us about how the wt is doing jehovah's will.. we are going to be subjected to lies, lies and more lies for weeks.

We are going to be subjected to LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES for weeks. I simply cannot bear this any longer. How are those still in coping with the content of all the meetings?

I am watching my loved ones being sucked in and deluded. They are rooting for me to get RI'd into this fallacy. They are convinced that my JC are wrong not to let me get RI'd, and at the same time deluded into thinking the WT is guided by holy spirit and doing God's will. I really feel for them.

How are those still in coping with the content of all the meetings?

Supporters of the Kingdom were stimulated for greater activity in 1931 when they adopted the Scriptural name Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Isa. 43:10-12) In 1938, democratic elections of responsible men in the congregations were replaced by theocratic appointments. In 1972, congregation oversight was assigned to a body of elders instead of to one congregation overseer. All qualified men were encouraged to reach out to share in ‘shepherding the flock of God under their care.’ (1 Pet. 5:2) In 1976, the Governing Body was organized into six committees to supervise the Kingdom work around the world. Fittingly, Jehovah’s appointed King has progressively organized subjects of the Kingdom in a theocratic, or God-ruled, way.

Sadly, fading is bad for my marriage

while headship has always been a problem in my marriage, partly because i'm more of a team player and my wife has man issues, now that i'm clearly fading my wife feels that i have nothing of worth to say.. i resist the idea of divorce but this is not much of a marriage.

since she doesn't/ can't hold down a job alimony would be ridiculously expensive.

cheaper to keep her, as they say.. i get zero cooperation or even discussion for any adjustments i feel might be in order for us as we grow older: obabmacare?

Stillin, I am afraid many are shallow in this world. I suppose I was a high maintenance wife too. But to get a hubby in the first place looks are everything. There is no such thing as an ugly woman, just a lazy or poor one!!!! No man picks a wife for personality alone, does he?

My parents are in their 70s. My dad says the most things that cause probs in a marrige are infidelity and money. Sounds like you have been married a while, and put up with money issues your whole marriage. In your OP you quite clearly state even if you divorce there are still going to be money issues to deal with.

I am very young (IMO lol!) So I have no advice to give you. Looks like you know your situation and you know your options.

From a mans perspective this is what my ex did to solve his money issues, and divorce issues. Lied about me to get custody. Packed in his job to live on welfare/benefits, and told me I have to get a job and pay him. He is a JW. I don't think you are like him or your conscience would allow you to be decietful to swindle your wife.

Correct me if I am wrong but I have never seen any scriptural evidence for two overlapping groups. Do you have the references?

You are correct there is no mention of overlapping groups, or even groups for that matter. Just the fact that 3000 were baptised and anointed with holy spirit in 33 CE, and then later in Acts Cornelius was anointed and baptised in 36 CE for, he was a gentile, and then it was opened up to all to be anointed.

No groups, sub groups, or first and second groups mentioned.

How I miss the 'Truth' of my youth....

my family moved from the city to the country.. part of the reason for the relocation was to move 'to where the need was greater'.

i loved our new home - i was free to roam the woods and fields, enjoy the wildlife, work in our garden and feed the chickens.

i had new friends in our new congregation.

A lot of my friends talk about hoe things used to be.....I hope they wake up and see the light. Who knows???

Faith in God should not be weak because of a wicked organization?!

i feel it strange that many here is here because of the wt organizations lies, contradictions etc (?!).

a deep and personal belief in god should not stand or fall because of a wicked organization that manipulate people.

i have a feeling that other christians in other organizations are more stable in their belief.

My mum is an athiest Polish Jew. She is athiest because she narrowly eascaped the concentration camps. But I believe in God I am an ex Jew and an ex JW

The scriptural teaching of two groups of anointed is in Acts. Only thing is it is in 33 CE the Jews, and 36 CE statring with Cornelius the gentiles. So the modern day groups are obviously spurious.

Also in the first century everyone was anointed
