Who are doing Jehovah's will today? Brochure
by KateWild inthis brochure is being studied, in the org starting form this week.
it rams lies down our throats, trying to convince us the the wt is god's organisation.
it lies to us about how the wt is doing jehovah's will.. we are going to be subjected to lies, lies and more lies for weeks.

SOOO - this is what they think passes for "piousneering " nowadays???
by hamsterbait inon my way into work, i saw a "litterature waggon" strapped to a lamp post outside the railway station.. three (i kid you not) three "pious sneers" were standing, almost thirty feet away, gossiping laughing.. i watched for about five minutes, not one person looked at the stuff (it had "bible" on it so warned passersby cult.).
they never once went near the display to draw attention to it.
in fact, only an ex dubbie would have known they were connected with it.. by the end of the morning, they will have put in 3 x number of hours standing chatting and drinking coffee to keep warm.

Well spotted, and so true. Pious is only the half of it. They prance around with their NNWT thinking they are chosen. Very funny OP thanks LOL-Kate xx

Looks like Jan 2014 WT missed some dates in this paragraph...anyone want to fill in some dates the GB missed out?
by KateWild in12 since the establishment of the kingdom in 1914, the king has refined the way gods servants are organized to do his fathers will.
(read isaiah 60:17.
) in 1919, a service director was appointed in each congregation to take the lead in the preaching work.

DD thanks for the data the following is useful for next week. First issue of the WT 1879.
1879 "Christ came in the character of a Bridegroom in 1874.... at the beginning of the Gospel harvest." (Watchtower, Oct 1879, p. 4)
Obviously no mention that it's all old light LOL!-Kate xx

So true, young sisters really are that desperate, many will marry any JW brother if he is baptised. A few are sensible and end up spinsters. Then you have the diamonds in the rough who pick well.
These are true diamonds in the rough and so are the brothers they pick-kate xx

Why does it matter?
by tenyearsafter ini have been on this forum for a number of years now, and one thing that seems to be a persisting theme is the "battle" between atheists and believers.. what i have not understood is the extent to which the supporters of either side engage in showing their position to be the correct one...and in turn debunking and demeaning the opposing position, or in many cases, insulting the intelligence of the holder of opposing belief.
i guess the simple question is, why?
does it really matter, or cause harm to be a supporter of either side of the coin?

tootired- thanks for that. I suppose we all go through different stages at different times so its good to vent and let others vent too, we just need to understand one another and take it on the chin.
I was baited by many an experienced poster, but I responded with homour and baited them myself. Kate xx

THE TRUTHS WHICH ALL BIBLE STUDIES SHOULD BE TOLD
by The Searcher in1. jehovah's witnesses have a clergy.. 2. that clergy consists of 8 men in brooklyn, n.y.. 3. those 8 men decide what every witness must believe in.. 4. any witnesses who openly disagrees with any of the teachings, faces expulsion & shunning by every fellow witness - relatives included.. welcome to the spiritual paradise!.

Excellent point bobcat.
In ch18 Baptism it states
This will enable you to get better acquainted with some Christian elders, who shepherd the flock of God. ( Acts 20:28 ; 1 Peter 5:2, 3 ) If these elders see that you understand and believe basic Bible teachings, are living in harmony with God’s principles, and truly want to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, they will let you know that you qualify to share in the public ministry as an unbaptized publisher of the good news.
No actual mention of Gods arrangement and the organisation book, well spotted!
Then it later states
However, baptism is not a mere bath. It is a symbol of something very important. Going beneath the water symbolizes that you have died to your former life course. Being raised up out of the water indicates that you are now alive to do the will of God. Remember, too, that you have made a dedication to Jehovah God himself, not to a work, a cause, other humans, or an organization . Your dedication and baptism are the beginning of a very close friendship with God—an intimate relationship with him.— Psalm 25:14 .
Yes well thats the blatant lie, right there. Good one Bobcat- Kate xx

I am new to the board. I find the god battles entertaining during this stressful period of deprogramming. Its nice to get to know what certain posters are really like, and who has what kind of knowledge.
Personally I don't stand for intellectual intimidation, the WT does it all the time. One can normally notice who has different interests and knowledge on the board, and I try not to berate anyone if they have a different belief. I believe in God.
