Dating Advice needed

well i joined two dating sites yesterday and i have had lots of messages.

a couple of guys want to chat to me by phone to get to know me better.

i've been asked out on two dates.

I am upfront about not wanting one night stands, and I'm 40, I know what that looks like, and to be fair I don't really mind being single for a while so I don't think I'll fall for any players. I have you guys to weed them out anyway.

Who knows in the future I might want some no strings sex, but thats not me for now.

I don't know how old you are, but a guy taking me for coffee at 10am in the morning is interested in more than just sex, I am sure of it. I have chatted with him a bit on the site, but he was bold enough and confident enough to ask me out. I like that in a man.

What exactly are new guys interested in? I am looking for someone who is interested in knowing all about me, I am not going to keep it from them forever, if fact I probably want to know sooner than later if he's not interested in the mind control I have experienced.

When will a guy be interested in knowing about my JW past then? How do a gauge it?

Today is Father's Day in the US

it is one of those holidays jws do not celebrate.

there is no reason for it.

It's fathers day in the UK too. I haven't been out the BOrg long enough yet to get the hang of all the gift giving on specific days. I am gutted I forgot to give my dad a card. I spoke to him twice today about this and that and apologised. I am more bothered than him.

I love my dad loads, I couldn't have got through all my trails with out his support and phonecalls. He loves giving advice too, it makes him feel needed.

I am going to give him a nice thank you card and a little gift the next time I see him. I hate this stupid cult for making me forget the important things, he told me it was a cult before I joined.

Well I joined two dating sites yesterday and I have had lots of messages. A couple of guys want to chat to me by phone to get to know me better. I've been asked out on two dates. So not really that bad for bieng on dating sites for less than 48 hours.

There seems to be quite a number of divorced 40-55 year old males around. I am sorry if you're a divorced male 56 or over, I just had to pick a range, I would go on a date with a 56 year old if he was the right man.

Anyway I would like advice. How do guys feel if their date is dating multiple guys? Is dating multiple guys ethical?

My past JW life is only a few months in my past and I come to JWN all the time. I have a coffee date at 10am UK time. Should I tell my coffee date, and the guys that ring me, about my JW past? I want to be open and I want to find a caring, understanding person. It is a big part of my life. Should it be?

This week's WT study...made me so sick.....

this week's study april 15th 2014 was called "do you see the one who is invisible?".

it was perhaps one of the most depressing, controlling, fear-mongering, stress inducing, doctrinally incorrect, hate-inspiring, judgemental, cult-like, irrational, hyped-up, critical, crazy, stretched out, fanciful, illogical, burdensome, inflated, coersive, manipulative, and brain-snappingly weird stuff i have read for some time.... (but i'm sure it was just a rehash and repeat of previous stuff...for the new masses....).

i had to keep up a sane appearance while in the hall, and even answer some garbage while this was being 'studied'... my cognitive disonance must be so strong now, because i found this one of the hardest ones to endure....now that i am home, i have poured a stiff drink and am trying to clear my head...... one paragraph was classic:.

hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! Lovely word salad of adjectives there. Well done.

Some JWs are real hypocrites, they don't act like Samaritans and care for others needs, nonsense! I was talking to an elder this week, and he refused to speak to me at the trolley, he told me the GB had written a letter about DF'd ones and trolley work. I think he's talking rubbish, but the point is he doesn't really care if I've lost my faith.

Personally I think you need to get out if the CD is making you drink. You don't want it to get out of control and lose your job. Is drinking really the best solution? What do you think?

Trolleys everywhere in my neck of the woods

i went to an appointment today and what do you know a trolley.. i couldn't stop and chat, but i have another appoinment thursday, i will go early and have a chat.

i love this it's great fun chatting to jws whilst being df'd.. any ideas for my presentation?.

do you think i am harming myself?.
