  i believe in god.

  i don't believe he punishes or rewards people.

  so by the same extention i don't believe any spirit beings can communicate with or influence humans.. many who do not believe in god though, have gone to fortune tellers.

  Your post screams of intellectual intimidation. I met someone who said they did not believe in God and that he cannot exist due to all the suffering in the world and then he said he had been to a fortune teller and believed that a dead loved one communicated with him.

  I do find this hard to grasp, but I just want to know how many out there believe in similar things. I am genuinely curious about what others believe.

  Many who do not believe in God though, have gone to fortune tellers. They claim they do not believe in God but there is evidence of spirits influencing their lives. I find this hard to grasp. Is there a spirit realm? Do beings of other dimensions comunicate with some humans? If so why isn't there just open lines of communication for all?

  Personally I don't think Satan is real, but I am curious about the spirit realm. Have you had experiences? What do you believe?

  the complaint alleges food lion hired victaurius l. bailey as a meat cutter in june 2011 and violated the civil rights act when it fired him weeks later over his faith-based refusal to work on sundays or on thursday evenings.

  To be fair I think both sides have legitimate reasons to fight their case. A business must make a profit to pay the wages, employees have the right to time off. In the UK now it is really difficult when you change career or starting out to get good terms and conditions at work. There are many skilled workers on minimum wage in jobs they did not train for.

  Earning enough money just to pay the rent/mortgage is gettng impossible. I know of people who work 3 jobs 60 hrs a week and still struggle to make ends meet.

  i wonder if anyone else has had this experience or know of others who have.

  when i was disfellowshipped, i approached another disfellowshipped person after the memorial celebration and asked him over for some refreshments and conversation.

  he turned down my invitation saying that the elders had told him that he could not even talk to other disfellowshipped persons unless and until both he and they were reinstated!

  Elders do and don't try and enforce this silly rule. In our hall it's inconsisstent to say the least. I have always mixed with other DF'd ones in my hall and never been told any different. Some elders try to vindictively force extreme isolation and I have had others tell me that they were told not to associate with me.

  It's all about information control and not wanting to be exposed for wrong and inhumane practices. DF'd ones can freely give eachother information about RI processes locally which is what the elders want to keep secret.

  bible describes atheism as a condition of the heart and is all about seeking what is ephemeral, not acting with insight.

  (psalm 14:1, 2) thus it rightly says the whole world is lying in the attraction of what is ephemeral.

  (wicked one is not a correct translation.1 john 5:19) thus even believers who pray to god (for material blessings) are actually atheists as they are not trying to be poor in spirit.

  DJS, some wars are the result of greed, selfishness, bad politics and bad governments......these wars have no religious motives......not all violence and strife is fuelled by religion.

  Publisher Statistics

  i was watching a couple videos on youtube earlier and always like to peruse the comments at the bottom of the page.. i'm no sure if this has been discussed recently, but one indivdual made the claim that the societies numbers are massively over inflated, as he/she believes that they include inactive, df'd and da'd in their figures.. does anyone have any information to confirm this or i this just another assumption made without evidence?.

  (also has anyone heard from witnessmyfury lately?

  i had a pm chat with him a few days ago but not had a reply to my latest msgs.

  If a publisher stops reporting it's only after 6 months are they considered inactive, so the stats are misleading. Once I had left I went back after a few months only for a few weeks though. This is what can be termed as yoyo publishers. I am Df'd anyway so I wouldn't have been counted as a publisher, but my attendance would have been counted.

  There is no real way to find out how many have left, but we can see just from JWN the newbies posting there is a high volume of those leaving.
