so there is someone on youtube creating videos from watchtower audio files.

im pretty sure they are not doing it with wts permission because they actually allow comments, albeit censored comments.

i was reading some of the comments on one page.

a lady walks into harrods.

she looks around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet and walks over to inspect it.

as she bends over to look more closely, she unexpectedly farts.very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone noticed her little woops and prays that a sales person was not anywhere near.as she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her good looking as well.cool as a cucumber, he displays all of the qualities one would expect of a professional in a store like harrods.he politely greets the lady with, good day, madam.

Do you have someone you trust?

hi, i'm a newbie around here.

i've been reading the posts, but reluctant to step out of my safe zone.

i definitely see how coming to a safe place to ask questions, vent, etc.

I have someone I trust. cantleave and nugget (Angus and Jane), have been a great support to me over the last 18 months or so. I trusted them with all the trials I was going through and the supported me and talked to me on the phone loads.

missing a lot of the oldies and goodies -- is this site so new, no one has signed on yet?

i am confused... but then, i will have to wait and see what happens.. somehow - change is not the best option but we adjust..have most of the users gone to other locations?.

I think loads leave anyway. There seems to be waves and cycles of posters. I have been posting less lately too. But I have to admit I like the new style site and have been quite active over the past couple of days.

I Let Go Of Faith Ten years Ago Today

after more than 30 years as a jw and 9 as a born-again christian i finally let go of faith 10 years ago today.... it was on boxing day 2004 that news of the asian tsunami put the final nail in the coffin of my relationship with god.

since that time i have listened attentively to every possible argument in defense of faith; there has never been a single moment that i have felt any discomfort with my decision.. life without god has been liberating.

no longer do i have to defend the indefensible.

This is very humble of you to admit. I have heard many atheist's think they are superior due to being atheist and find it very arrogant.

I just cannot accept right now that there is no creator. I have read a great deal of evolution but it does not answer my question about enantionmers, the soai reaction is the closest but still does not satisfy my questions. I feel the process is guided.

My process has been very isolating, you're not alone. I feel less isolated now than I used to be, I didn't think I would get here. I started dating a few months ago and it takes away the sting of loneliness. I have met a nice guy, perhaps he is mister right. I hope so. But I also volunteer.

At first I came here loads and over did my posting but now I have some balance.

Just remember it's not just you. We all have a struggle when we learn TTATT and leave. But it's freeing and liberating.

Losing faith in god was deeply distressing. The loss of comforting certainties is stressful. - cofty

It think this is where I am at. I truly believe there is a creator, but I do because it's comfortable. You made things sound so logical to me when I came here and you don't try and push your atheism too much, you do a bit cofty, but you also get that some of us are believers and that's okay with you.
