  Need advice

  hi.i've been pouring over this site for the past few days looking for some advice and i hope there is someone here that can help a guy out.

  i'm desperate.....short bio: i came into the organization after high school and shortly after married a wonderful girl who was born-in.we have been happily married now for nearly 20 years and things were well until 2015 hit.

  by the way, i currently serve as an elder and have the ""privilege"" of being the "watchtower overseer".. either here nor there, we were told we would never have children but late last year my wife became prego!!

  Welcome to the board Darkknight,

  I am so sorry for your loss it's a deep wound to lose a child or children like this. I understand your position that you don't want to preach about falsehoods any more. Stepping down as an elder is your first move.

  As a woman if I was in her position, I would appreciate extra attention. So you could take her for nice meals out and day trips on a meeting day. Tell her she needs to heal and missing the odd meeting will benefit her if you both are doing something productive. Get her to talk about how she feels about waiting so long to have children and if she has any regrets. You can use this to undermine the GB.

  These would be steps I would respond to as a woman.

  Just found out their about to baptise my 14 year old boy.

  there doing this right under my nose but i just found out.

  not sure what to do but would like your help on getting me wt information on my headship role and how they shouldn't be doing this with out my permission.

  also would like some help on showing my son the ramifications on what happens to someone when they get baptized and how they'll expect him to treat me.

  Crazyguy,

  Your son sounds like he wants to please both you and his mother. Could he be very confused right now? It's awful they way WT is manipulating pre teens and teenagers.

  When you speak with him highlight to him to really be honest with you about his feelings and say you respect his beliefs and choices, but want him to be honest with you. It's only from real openness and honesty can you get through to him.

  Crazyguy, sorry this is happening. My son is 14 too. I feel your pain. Sorry that your planting seeds hasn't worked for you.

  My son has seen injustice in the congregation so his bad experience has shaped his opinions and planting seeds has been successful for me.

  I hope you find a solution and stop the baptism

  a hilarious stupid wa message is being circulated amongst jws in my area / country.. i had a hearty laugh at the ignorance and stupidity and brainwashed mentality, different people may express different emotions so you have been warned.

  day one after armageddon it seems ages since we last heard the gunshots and screams, today has been really quiet.

  the last few weeks have been sheer terror.

  a single sister in her 40s and her two single daughters were visiting my mom.

  i would say her daughters are in their early 20s.

  my mom got sleepy and we put her to bed but the three sisters stayed to finish their drinks..

  There is so much war and hatred because many people are greedy and power hungry and selfish.

  There are also many individuals that are caring, generous and selfless. We need to do our best to imitate these qualities in our community and with the people we socialise with and our life will be better.

  so this is just so nauseating to me when she noddes her head in agreement and in a low voice or sound does a "mmm uh" in agrrement.

  but here is the deal, she never aswers at the meetings.

  she doesn't go out in service often.

  I used to nod in agreement all the time. I was a true believer and used to participate all the time. Always in FS had plenty of studies. So I used to nod in agreement.

  When I woke up and still attended meetings I had very different facial expressions when I didn't agree. I didn't agree a lot and soon left.
