It is funny but some JWs you can reason with and they leave. There is a whole exJW community that have left. So I say keep trying. It might just work

Sounds like you're not having a good day today. Some people can leave and live in a divided household. They can just enjoy their family and doing daily things.
I am divorced, and the divorce and custody battle is something I would not wish on anyone unless you're lives are at risk and children need to be protected form domestic violence or sexual abuse. Try and plan days out on Saturdays with your family and spend quality time doing activities with them to bring you all closer.

by umbertoecho inhello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.
helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.
i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

The really cool feeling of community within JWs
by Phaedra ini remember going out with other jws after the memorial.. small gatherings.. picnics at some local landmark.. the feeling of closeness, camaraderie, friendship with like minded people you could trust.. haven't experienced it since i left.. really miss that..

Yes I agree, I miss the socialising. I have had a few social events this year, but I was used to socialising every weekend and my kids having a big social life too. It's all gone now, in general people don't socialise as much as JWs do.
I suppose that was the love bombing, so it was just a recruiting strategy.

in my country one can get dfd for pretty much anything the bullies want to df you for.
but is there any specific guidelines that state one can or cannot be dfd for marrying a non witness.

Kate, I'm not sure where you got that information about a "sister" being DF'd- WO
I was just being devils advocate. Some elders can go to the extreme like they did in my case.
The point I was making that nothing in WT is fair and you can't count on the rules as some elders make up their own

Years ago son raised a few years as a JW. Now struggles with depression

i spent some time here awhile back as an unbelieving mate of a jw wife.
i learned a lot, and was able to be supportive and understanding when she decided to leave the jw.. unfortunately, my son seems to have internalized many of the jw teachings.

How old is your son? How long ago did he leave WT?
If he is a teen get him involved with activities with school friends/ uni friends.
We are social creatures and need to interact with our peers.
