  Jesus Knows the Day & Hour Now?

  i was skimming the july 2016 wt study article and came across a paragraph indicating that, despite scriptural evidence, the governing body indeed feels that god's son now knows the exact day and hour of armageddon.

  is this 'new light'?

  "more than half of the people in the u.k either aren't saving at all or they aren't saving enough to give themselves the standard of living they hope for" ( the money advice service).

  how do you have your retirement planned?.

  as for myself, i never botherd with putting money in a pension, i opted instead to invest in buy to let properties.

  Lol haha. I grew up in Hatch End actually. It was still a 01 for London phone number.

  At least we agree that the young can't actually buy property in London unless they have some sort of inheritance.

  A bit of a right wing false attitude Rebel.

  Anyone who got pregnant in the 80 s in London had to leave because there was no social housing available.

  My daughter is 23 and living in London a lender will give her four times her salary to buy a property.

  She would need to be earning £62,500 per year to get a loan of £250,000 to buy a one bed flat.

  In theory what you say sounds good but in practice it's not realistic.

  But thanks for the advice about a pension plan.

  I do remember you telling me a while ago that you were struggling to find work. I am sorry you still haven't found anything.

  It's hard to recognise satire sometimes especially if you say you like people because they have jobs.

  My point is that the OP is making a statement that is a generalisation. Generalising is something that many of us do and it can in some cases lead to discrimination and prejudice. People are Individuals and should be viewed on their specific qualities personal to them.

  You can't like or especially love a class of people - so you don't like Muslims as a class of people?- LUHE

  I don't form opinions about people I have never met before especially generalising about them in a religious group. I have met people of all religions and like and dislike people I have met. The reasons I form those opinions had nothing to do with their religion. I chose to get to know everyone regardless of their protected class. I don't discriminate.

  Your opinion about people without jobs calling them time wasters is very discriminatory and prejudicial. At work I see many people struggling to get good reliable employment and people who have been dismissed unfairly. Some of them are in their 50s and will never be recruited as employers discriminate against them. There are so many reasons why these people don't have jobs. I hope this changes your opinion about them.

  So tell me why do you love Muslims? - good question. I can tell you why I like Muslims, based on observations where I live. - LUHE

  Interesting why you're answer a question addressed to someone else. But thanks. Love and like are two different things.

  Also when you draw an opinion about a protected class and generalise it's prejudicial. You can't like or especially love a class of people. You can only like and love individuals.

  Thank you for this thread. I totally agree with you about the thin veneer of politeness. It used to really ageivate me and I used to challenge a couple of elders wives about it. They loved their position but didn't care about the congregation and those struggling.

  so my 14 yr old son and i are sitting discussing the eu election vote, and joking around that the we could see a future with donald trump and boris johnson being the uk and us leaders.

  we were swapping pictures and jokes from facebook.. but his dad is sitting there waiting until we leave, and comes out with "well daniel 2.44" which reads.......... "and in the days of those kings the god of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin.

  and the kingdom itself will not be passed onto any other people.
