  FS Visit Today

  just received a fs visit - first for several months.

  an attractive 'yummy mummy' with (what seemed to me) a strained smile and a very young girl (presumably her daughter) about 9 or 10.. the weather was attrocious, i was distracted, and i failed completely to make any comment or to challenge.

  looking at the young girl, particularly, i felt nothing but sympathy.. i accepted a leaflet 'can the dead really live again?

  Thanks also for the opportunity to write (as I should have previously) that not all converts are self important lemmings. I also believe that there are and were people like LHG that were subject to the bait and switch. I also agree with her assesment that now, today, it should be difficult for anyone with access to the internet to be duped.-ctrwtf

  I am glad you said that, I converted when I went to uni, from Judaism. A bit like Steven Hassan's story with the moonies. It was a change in location thing and family bonds of love that got me!!!

  Wow! that was me with my kids. I thought it was Jehovah's holy spirit helping us find deserving ones. It was actually householders wanting to give my child a hot drink and to come in out the rain/cold.

  this brochure is being studied, in the org starting form this week.

  it rams lies down our throats, trying to convince us the the wt is god's organisation.

  it lies to us about how the wt is doing jehovah's will.. we are going to be subjected to lies, lies and more lies for weeks.

  The JW teaching of the GB/FDS is an asenine idea. It's total garbage. Anyone who cares about actual truth, simply cannot accept it. It is an utterly false idea of fallible men. It is not to be trusted. Please, wake up if you have not already.-DD

  Request stories on JW mental health issues

  i am just curious as to how much of a problem mental illness is among jws.

  i would like to hear what others have to say regarding their own experiences in this matter.

  specifically, i want to know how these individuals were handled in the congregation and whether or not being a jw contributed to the effects on mental illness.. .

  Steven Hassan has written extensively on this subject related to cults in general. It's the replacement of the individual's authentic identity with the cult identity.-Oub

  When I found out TTATT, and was undergoing emotional, congnitive dissonance from an unjust D'fing-----I had to be locked up in a Psychiatric ward. It was less than two weeks until the CD, dissapated from research on my part. They called it reactive psychosis. All proffesionals at the time and now have cleared me of mental health problems.

  That is my experience. Well I hope thats more what your were looking for. I hope this helps.

  I got an e-mail from an old friend who read my book

  he told me he had left a review on amazon because he had just read my book.. now this you have to know about allan, he is a very precise person.. in his e-mail he said he was counting off "one star's worth" of approval because i had underlined where i should have italicized.. that gave me a good chuckle.

  he is an engineer, after all.. .

  hi, i am reading a book on mind control and one of the areas the author stresses group control is their constant revision of "new insight from god" or "we have a new message from god".

  in keeping with the spirit of new light, 2014 is going to need a moral boost because one hundred years of lies needs a spin doctor of bethel size.

  the poster with the close new light for 2014 will be showered with glory and much pomp.

  We had a donation request this week. The Brother talked about the need for them, and mentioned the NNWT, which most in the cong don't even have. He has of course. Quite funny really, probably a bone of contention LOL! Kate
