Regarding changes and my poor mother!
by username inwell i just got off the phone with mother (thankfully she has no part in the shunning policy) and she thinks the changes are "marverless" this i would imagine is the general consensus of most hardcore rank and file!
she is even investing in a roku device so she can watch more indoctrination programming.
to be honest i wouldn't even try make her think, because she has far to much invested in the cult.

The premier league in the UK is most definitely a cult.The supporters are affected by the BITE model.
Football fans cannot think for themselves, pick their own clothes, and all behave in a frenzy if the ball is close to the goal. They are controlled.

I don't know what the solution is. But I feel licensed gun owners are irresponsible is some cases and should be fined or charged and held accountable if their gun is not locked in a safe place when not in use.
But lots of gun crime occurs when it's the case of an illegal weapon too.
Is a gun ban really practical and how will it be policed and enforced?

JWs and Education
by cognac inmy parents were always of the belief that, "the end is right around the corner".. i was a zealous kid, with a learning disorder, so my parents never gave me a hard time or pushed me in regards to my education.. this not only hurt me, but, pissed me off insanely.
fast forward to me having my own kid.
ava is not doing well in school.

It's nice to see that you're concerned as to whether or not you strike the right balance.
Like most have said take your cues from your daughter. If she wants to study extra to keep up then support her. If she is happy being below average then support her with other interests and find her natural abilities.
A happy child is a healthy child.

What is your purpose or what do you wish to accomplish while a member of this board?
by Tenacious inwhen i joined this forum i was seeking more people who felt the same way i did in terms of seeing the jehovah's witness organization for what it truly was; a false prophet.. once i found like-minded members i slowly started to open up and participate more in trying to help others that were also exiting mentally and physically.
today, i offer support to anyone who desires it regardless of what they believe or not believe.. so what is your purpose on this board?.

Question - thoughts on explaining your fading to teachers?
by elderINewton inweird/odd question, but with our family fading, and our daughter in school how or should one approach teachers with this?
our child is a little too young to understand why we are fading, but it proves challenging in school as they have been, well brainwashed, to say i shouldn't do that etc... .
i don't like explaining anything to teachers about the fade, etc.

This is the biggest problem of a cult and it also helps identify one. If a child has cult friends that would report back for being involved in Halloween and Christmas activities. You need to make a decision to break or fake. You need to decide what is in the best interests of your whole family including your child.
This is a very serious life changing decision. Think carefully.
