Counting flowers on the wall
playing Solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51
smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo
That would make sense, except for that fact that those things hadn't been created yet. Which makes it even more funnier.
for those of you who believe in god, and i know this may sound like a silly question, but what was he doing before he created jesus, the first thing he ever made.
we're talking an eternity here.
zillions upon zillions of years.

And another thing... if he can do anything, why doesn't he just spell out "There Is A God" in the clouds in the sky or something like that so we will all know for sure.
Or better yet, why doesn't he just talk to us the way he supposedly did with Adam and Eve? Oh, I forgot. He talks to us through the bible. A book that is capable of being intrepreted in a thousand different ways and is indirectly responsible for ruining millions of lives. Yea God. Thanks alot!

This isn't just a JW thing. It's a Christian thing, or anyone who believes in the bible. Even if we aren't the only thing God has created, something had to come first. So what was up with him before this first thing. I believe in a creator, but not so sure about the one spoken so highly of in the bible. I think that guy is a raving lunatic. Maybe there are many gods like Zeus and Aphrodite. At this point I'm open to anything.
More importantly, who created god?
Well according to the bible he was always here right? No beginning. That's were things really get complicated. If someone created God, someone had to create that God, and then someone would have had to create that God.............................................It would basically end up being the same as God always being here.

does anyone know if the society keeps a library of publications dating from the late 1800's into the early 1900's and whether or not bethelites have access to them?
Thanks for the info guys.

I was actually thinking of joining to read the material, not steal (bad wannabe-ex-jw humor), but I thought it only took 6 months of pioneering, not years!
Going in ninja style seems like a feasible idea, but I'm too cute to go to prison. So how do I get my hands on them the legal way?
...my ten year anniversary of having made my stand.
i left my parents' home and the jws on june 27, 1993. .
also, a little announcement: hubby and i are expecting our second bebe in march.
Congrats!...........if only I could muster up the courage to leave as you did, but it seems I'm doomed to a life of boring meetings and halfheartedly preaching to others to avoid making disciples out of them just to keep peace with my folks.
Best of luck to you and your growing fetus!

I just wanted to know so if I can somehow get into bethel (might be pretty hard considering I'm a woman), I can steal some of them.

i'm new here.. i would like to question those who tend to disagree with jw teachings, but still seem to believe in christianity and refer to god as jehovah.
i always told myself that if i were to ever leave i'd stay out of religion all together, because if this isn't the truth than nothing is.
christianity in today's society is so warped that it's not even funny.
Hi everyone. I'm new here.
The same denominations teach different things and it's filled with hypocrisy. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't understand what your belief is NOW. It looks as though you're still holding on to core JW beliefs, but with your own twist of interpretation. My question is why?
