Walking Dead, evidently a hit show

not my cup o tea for sure, but i found out my nephew is a regular zombie on the show.. anyone here like the show?

I really liked the cop series "The Shield" (some violence, but not tons), and haven't watched The Wire yet. Breaking Bad is a TERRIFIC drama and story is excellent - you'll laugh, you'll get a tear in your eye. There is some violence at times, but it's all about the tale, and I recommened it, too. :D

Another really good drama I've been watching is Nurse Jackie.

haha, I'm recently housebound and was never a TV watcher, so now I try to find good ones. The prison drama OZ was one of my fav shows ever, too (HBO).

truth is self-evident (things like: the whole is greater than its part ....).. truth is always right (things like: caring for the accident victim helplessly bleeding on the road ....).. claiming: only we have the truth is like claiming: only my university is useful.

history shows that many school/college drop-outs have made significant contributions to the society like many those who completed their education!

and on the contrary, many school/college drop-outs have made significant damage to the society like some of those who completed their education!

They can claim anything they want .......... all religion is based on mythology and mystical thinking - none of it provable - so, yeah.

there are a lot of topics about religiouse hatred, so on a personal level why do you find it difficult to love or like individuals?.

The secret is ... when you are making new friends, learning not to 'care' about your differences, and celebrate the commonalities. If a person has attributes that you don't like to be around, then stay away from them. Spend time with people that share your point of view. It's just that simple.

The only place you have to tolerate arseholes may be on the job. In your personal life, why bother?

It took me a long time to practice this ... many years of saying "Why? Whydoes s/he/it act like that?" It can make you crazy .. haha! Finally, I realized that I can't ever read those people's minds, or understand why they act lke they do. And life is far too short to waste time trying, unless you are a therapist and that is your profession.

JW.borg permanent booths in flea markets

i have seen in my local area and while traveling a foreign country jw.borg booths at flea markets.

i remember about 8 or 9 years ago seeing a russellite table at a flea market, and a jw with me said how they were from russells time when those apostates left and the only preaching they do is setting up stands like that.

now jw's are doing the same thing.

They have a booth set up near me, in front of one of the downtown parks. They just stand there, chatting with each other, while people walk by. It's quite the waste of time, by any standards.

It sounds like you are right, this may be the final chapter. It's hard, so hard, to give up on those bonds that we forged as kids in the b'Org. It seems that folks like Mark, and I had a dear friend too, should understand, as we shared so much in our formative years. Resolution sometimes means accepting that it is the end. He probably wishes things were different, and trapped in the fears and shadows of the cult. The good memories and feelings can be treasured forever, long after the painful feelings fade.
