Oh, and Bad Company - first song I learned on my guitar "Feels Like Makin' Love" :D
10 from 6 is a really "Bad" compilation album of theirs - my fav is "Shooting Star"
as a kid, my fave band was bto (bachman turner overdrive).
randy bachman (a somewhat devout mormon) was the driving force.
randy had separated from the guess who (american woman, these eyes, no sugar tonight).

No, I did not, but I see there's vids on youtube. I'll check it out. At first, I thought you were referencing the Vinyl Cafe on CBC. :P
Well, it *is* kinda cool to meet a rock icon, but an MLM, really? Okay, I have to admit that I sold Mary Kay for a while. *hangs head*

PS. I have an ear worm now, but it's that moody "blue collar' .. yeah ...

I agree about that riff, and Bachman is up there in the top, for sure. My own thoughts, are that we can say there are xxx top guitarists, but I couldn't pick the 'best' as their styles are all different. I do love Jeff Beck, Eddie and, well the Stevie Ray Vaughan/Colin James style is great as well. I would like to have seen he and Burton in their reunion. And No Sugar Tonight is my fav Guess Who as well, as long as we follow it with the New Mother Nature, as it is meant to be! :)

That's so true, smiddy. I just think of those folks I knew, 2 came back with ruined health (malaria), 1 who will always consider Africa her home never readjusted to living back here, and the third .... I'm not sure what happened to him.
Funny story though .... he had never gotten his driver's license, having gone to Liberia before that milestone happened in his life. So I was letting him drive my car, on the highway, on a short trip. At just over 30YO, he finally had his 'beginners' license. We were going faster and faster and I looked over - the speedometer was just over 100 mph, and I said WHOA, slow down !
We had signs in kilometers per hour - 100 kph, and he thought it was 100 mph............ phew! Scared the livin' daylights out of me, coming around that well-known dangerous curve. Male drivers! smh

"dicte" a danish tv series on netflix shows shunning of protagonist by her jw parents in the first few minutes of the opening episode.. it's similar to wallander if you're into that type of detective series you're sure to find this one interesting.. netflix description of the series is that:.
"a crime reporter starts a new life by returning to her hometown, where she finds herself at odds with the police when she tries to solve their cases.".
it opens with a young girl giving birth, her child is taken away, her parents helping to give the baby up.. ahead to 24 years later a woman gets out of her car and approaches a group of people entering a kingdom hall.. she calls them father and mother but they say nothing to her.
Okay, I was wrong - no English subs, just Dutch & Swedish, but I'm sure they can be found. I read the premise of the show and it does sound good. Also, recognizing the actress, I'm sure I saw her in a Scandanavian movie a couple of years ago. Well, I'll just see what can be done about those subs. Thanks. :)
victim hung on to faith .
by mike o'brien.
dylan boe held on to his faith until the end.. the 19-year-old was the only one of four young friends who wasn't immediately killed in a two-vehicle crash near melville, saturday.. like preston presiloski, adam anderson and elisha stasiuk, boe was a jehovah's witness.
J-DUBBED - Palmtree is not here anymore, but I think there are one or two others from that area.

This is quite the militant fringe group. Kidnappings, extortion, bombings, all in the cause of establishing an independent Muslim province - can we all say 'fanatical crazies'?
It's really disgusting that the Tower sends their slaves into these dangerous areas. I remember having missionary friends in Africa - one was in Liberia and had to flee the country in late 79 or was it early 1980? He barely got out, what with the political situation there, it was very dangerous.
Those poor people.

If you use torrents, it's no problem. That is peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing. It's legal in some countries, and in others, not so much (especially the USA). You can find "Dicte" on The Pirate Bay and also KickAss Torrents sites.

Well said, Bungi Bill.
I have the same experience. My friends' grown children are 20-somethings who are well-rounded, respectful people.

is it me, or am i getting to become an old man.
i just can't figure out the music this year.
it's like i don't want to leave the easy listening hits of the 70's-80's.
Bob Seger is playing tonight ... and I'm not going. *sigh* I wonder if he can still rock it out on cuts like Katmandu and Sunspot?
I like the music now, but I enjoy most music (exceptions are opera and some jazz).
:)
