  If your comment is directed at me, then you didn't read mine. I was looking for questions, and insights, not answers. You may be interested to know that many philosophers try to answer questions (Shock!), such as Hume, and Emerson - lol, two personal favorites.

  john cedars has posted his latest blog "the trouble with apostates (and why it shouldn't put you off becoming one)".

  i acknowledge that he is entitled to his opionin just as we are ours but i am disappointed in some of his comments.. at this stage i'll try to be objective about it.

  he is defending his own position after all.. what bothers me most is his comments about athiests and christians which he seems to identify as being in conflict with each other.

  Cedars is of a type. I've met quite a few similar people over the years and I recognised him for what he was from day one. Basically charismatic but totally political in everything they do and say. Everything is done and said with an end goal in mind - the eventual adoration of those around him.

  He sounds like someone who is suffering from schizophrenia; somewhat delusional, he lives in a world of his own. It's apparent that he *has* a point, but utterly fails to impart any understanding of said point. He is intelligent, but his brain is misfiring (for lack of a better word). Not much of a philosopher.   Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it. Canadians just have to deal with the influx of guns that is run up the "Blue Steel Highway" (that's I-95). Keep your stinkin' guns - we don't want em! (JUST KIDDING!, but seriously, get a better grip on your weapons).

  since then i've been really busy and have overdosed on christmas music in the past week.

  so, i'm resurrecting this "holy day" holiday that most people will unknowingly be celebrating tomorrow.
