BB, I have to call you on this one - it's absolutely not true. Product placement is advertising; TV and film are media by which this type of advertising is communicated.

Nope. Apple doesn't do this. They gave a handful of watches to AAA celebs and that's it. They do not do paid product placement in movies and TV shows either.
The place I work for spends over $1,000,000 a year on Apple products and we don't get shit.

Well, according to the Business Insider, this is just not true.

Great idea! I read parts of it when I was in my 20s, and interested in what other religions taught / believed. It can be difficult to wrap one's head around another culture's mindset - knowledge is power. Also, the more I learned about the topic, the similarities of world religions became apparent.

Looking forward to your updates/insights.

if only there were more people with guns perhaps some lives would have been saved.. it's a sad state of affairs here in the us when enough people aren't armed when there is an attack.. if someone simply had a gun or was wearing a suicide vest to take the perpetrators out, other lives could have been saved.. rub a dub .

Perhaps it means a person who really is an atheist, but won't give up that shadow of a doubt that there *may* be a divine entity. That could identify a LOT of atheists who do not reveal such traitorous thoughts to others! ahaha\

Edit: keeping in mind always that reality is shades of gray, not black & white. That includes people's belief systems ,,, nothing is cut-and-dried.

That was interesting. I was judged an 'atheistic paganist' (check, Gaia is my philosophy, embracing transcendentalism), and 'secular humanist' re belief systems (check, feminist = same thing).

Poor Abused Children Are Nothing Compared to Poor Abused Watchtower

i've been really disappointed for quite a while nowadays, actually i disassociated out of anger against the elders because i was being bullied over a row about confidentiality.

but that's nothing compared to those poor kids that have been scarred for life because of all the plethora of child abusers acting as elders in the congregations.

i live in the uk and its more prevalent than the common cold.. however, jehovah's organisation as called, seems to have no sympathy for those kids at all.

You'll get no disagreement from me. It's one of the reasons I left the religion many years ago. I figured that Jehovah didn't love the children - why else would he let us suffer so? The corruption within the organization screamed 'it's NOT THE TRUTH!", so I said goodbye. As an adult, I am disgusted and yes, angry.

Keep on questioning, and research. You will find lots of support here.
