i don't believe i've ever started a topic here before.. ladies, ever wanted to play "matchmaker" or "advice for the lovelorn"?
well, i've got a situation that has me going in circles.
it's something i'm also talking about with the realtime women friends in my life, and they've been just great, but there is also huge resource of fabulous women here on jwd that will know about that other intangible aspect of our x-jw involvement and how it affects people, relationships and families, that the women i know will never quite grasp.. it is not, however, something i choose to discuss here.

I fully agree with your way of giving trust first, until it is proven otherwise. It took me a while to get there - I first had to learn to trust myself. What do you think? Is that how it was for you? I, too, trust my 'gut'. However, I don't have millions of $$$, so I can't afford to let people in and test them when my 'gut' says no.

sounds like you are still hurting. Trust your 'gut' sweetie, and you will be amazed by the new friends you will have! Testing people is a good way to know, but sometimes it can hurt those who you (potentially) could trust the most. You'll figure it out, just keep healing and learning. xoxo You will get there!!

Went into a coma (no kidding) at age 18 for 3 months. The doctors could never explain why. When I emerged, I left, no doubts.

with all the viruses bouncing around, i recently acquired a firewall called sygate pro.
this is the first time i've had a firewall, so i don't know anything about them.
but the past week or so i've been trying to figure out some things and i checked "security log" and evidently i've had several intrusions.
My roomie has Sygate. It's not much protection, just Microsoft BS (IMHO). I wouldn't worry about this. Get an antivirus (Norton, MacAfee) and if you want free, use Adaware-6 (available from Lavasoft) to clean up yr system daily. That's what I do, in the absence of having good protection, since it's not my puter.

were any specifically mentioned from the platform or were you counseled not to listen to a certain song?
for me it was the entire def leopard hysteria album - bad heavy metal told it was demonic, i listened to it in secret, silk's "freak me" - a virgin listening to a song about hot sex?
