Awesome! Now maybe they will start asking those same questions and maybe they'll even come to this forum. "The Lord works in mysterious ways."

Logic Lures Them in, Emotions Keep them In
by jgnat inthe wtbts was able to get a foothold years ago because they offered a radical departure from traditional christianity.
they offered up an alternative view of god and the afterlife, some prophetic math, and a good kick in the pants to mainline churches.
the catholic (universal) church deserved that kick, caught asleep on the job.

"And in case you should say in your heart: 'How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?' when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened at him." -Deuteronomy 18:21, 22 The WTS, which has proven itself to be a false prophet, uses fear to keep people in. I know, it worked on me for quite a while. But the above scripture says: "You must not get frightened at him." We were warned ahead of time that false prophets would use fear to keep people under their control, so it is no surprise that the WTS has been so effective in using this tactic.

Way to go Tammy. This is just another example of the hypocrisy of the WTS. They tell us to stay away from sites like this but then give themselves the right to ignore what they tell us. Hey pot, you can't call the kettle black.

4 BILLION A MONTH!!!! What a worthless waste!
by ashitaka inthis pisses me off so badly.
here i am, struggling just to survive and pay my bills, and they're wasting money on this worthless occupation.
i have trouble buying my bread, i'm thinking of getting a pizza delivery job at night, and i'm a working professional who already leaves at 6 and gets home at 6, and they're spending four billion dollars on this.

Is Society Really That Degraded?
by pettygrudger ini just read this on another thread:it seems to me , that nowadays "anything goes" and thats a shame.
do any of you really believe that our societies morals are any less decrepid than any other time in history?
if so, can someone tell me of any time in history that was more "morally" righteous, pure or wholesome?.

I don't know if things are actually getting worse, but our knowledge of what is going on is increasing due to technology. In the past people weren't as aware of all of the bad stuff happening because they didn't have CNN and the like, or the internet. But today, everyday we are bombarded with news reports reminding us how bad we are. So in answer to your question I would say things have gotten worse, but it's only because there are now more people on this planet (6 billion) than at any other time in history. Of course that probably means that there are more good people on the earth than at any other time as well. It's all a matter of perspective. I think the glass is half full.

Today was my D-Day ... I beat the odds!
by Amazing inlast year on july 15th, 2002, my cardiologist gave me less than a year to live.
with the 14 remaining blocked arteries, there was not much hope.
even a by-pass would only correct 3 or 4 arteries and give me a slight lease on life.
