i was reading in the shepherding book that elders should “ cultivate and maintain friendships with one another.”, and thought to myself “bulls$it!” i remember that most of the elders in my old congregation were nothing but nasty asses.
i know it may vary from congregation to congregation, but do elders generally get along with each other behind closed doors in elders meetings?
or, are they often in conflict with each other?
I can add quite a recent story from my former congo.
My friend who is an elder now, complained me about his fellow-elder and his wife who are known to be bullies, slanderers and outright liars. When this whole conflict story had got to the CO's attention, he said, in effect 'Shut up, all of you - unless you both want to be removed!'
Now, they both quietly hate each other...

specifically, what practice (or practices) of jehovah's witnesses does russia consider to be extreme?

i recently created a discord server in order to create a community of exjw and associated ones.
the decision to create it came from a desire to have an inclusive and safe environment for those affected by the wt.
one in which we can share ideas and experiences, and meet other people with similar interests.

We use Discord heavily in the Russian-speaking XJW-community for quite a while.
It's actually, quite a handy platform - as far as I can tell, so far.
i was wondering two things, 1: how long in total are the zoom meetings, i presume the sunday one is the longest ?.
and 2: if you use zoom for free, the session only lasts 40 minutes, so do they have an intermission so people can log back in, or are all jw's expected to pay for the "privilege" ?.
I wonder will they even ever end. Or all the Kingdumb Halls will go for sale...

many of us have watched the gb #4 update.
most of us jumped for joy when they basically said that there will be no meeting in person for a long time to come.. one aspect we overlooked was how hard they hit home the "love of neighbor".
how this "love" is what makes a true christian and as a result our love for our neighbors will motivate us to stay at home.. well now they released a letter that is instructing all kh's to view this video during their local needs part.
I've only showed up for the first couple or so Zoom boast sessions.
The elders then tried to enforce my camera being on - but didn't push that really hard .
So, I just used that time for my own business. And I've missed last couple meetings even without Zooming in.
It's hell lot easier these days, actually. And BTW, I'm not that different from the eldubs/pioneers who similarly do next to nothing for the borg, in fact.
