well, this is my first post here, and i'm kind of doing it in secret, cause i know if my parents knew of my "poisoning myself with apostates" they would not be happy at all.
anyways, my story is; i'm 17, i've been brought up "in the truth" my whole life, and now i'm starting to question the wt and christianity in general, and i have nobody to talk to about it.
i feel awkward about talking to my witness friends about it, cause i worry that if i speak out against the organazition and the wrong people (i.e; young ones around here that would never think of questioning the society) hear about it, it might result in my punishment (reproof or dfing).

i had to tell my parents about all of this and i lived through hell in the days leading up to my committee meeting.

when i went to vegas and we hit all the night clubs you could see all the couples sitting there around the dance floor, the women bobbing up and down off their seats and their guys sunk down with their butts glued to the chair.
even though i am not the best dancer, being one of those men willing to "shake that thing" i had a great time.
Hey Netty very cool...I'm thinking of taking Flamenco here in Chicago....where in AZ are you taking lessons? I used to go salsa dancing at a Spanish restaurant in Scottsdale, they also had flamenco dancers during there dinner hours.
The name of the studio in Tucson where I take Flamenco is MILAGROS DEL BAILE. I have my own classes on Fridays where I teach. I dance quite often in the Phoenix area, not many places in Scottsdale, at a place in Tempe called Grahams Central Station.
So many of you ladies mentioned having to sit on your butt because you dont have a partner, or your husband wont dance. HEY, TRY LINE DANCING! Thats why I started line dancing. Its not what you think it is. It is rarely done to country music at all anymore (at least in my class). I am known for teaching the new mainstream type of line dancing. It is more like a mini dance jazz routine, and all forms of dance are used, r&b, hip hop, oldies, LOTS Of LATIN, I mean lots of it. So we are using alot of the salsa cha cha moves in our line dances. And the music is so awesome. So girls, try line dancing if you want real bad to dance and have no partner, you dont have to sit on your chair and wish, you can get out there and make your own action.

I teach dance! I will dance to anything in the world, although I lean towards anything latin, just because that is my blood. I have always tried and keep trying different types of dance. I have done ballroom, country, latin, west coast swing, jazz, tap, ballet, clogging. I am a choreographer and put routines together, that are done at events at dinner shows. I love choreagraphing a rountine and watching others dance it. That is such a thrill. Right now just for fun, I am taking FLAMENCO, and wow. What a challenge, but what a sensual dance, who would have thought.
how many of yall were taught or learned home remedies while growing up or as a result of your own or others' experiences?

Just a warning on the mustard plaster. My grandmother used it on one of her babies, left it on too long, and the baby died. I know it works, and have heard plenty about it around here, (the old wives tales from Mexico) but just dont leave it on too long.

absolutely, without a doubt, no question about it. I have thought about this before. Where there would be a problem is I have two self righteous JW siblings who would fight me on it, so sad.
seeing it from the outside is scary.. recently a jw relative here confided that she was going to go live separate from her husband for a while because she needed to sort out some of her personal issues and had to be alone.
of course the elders are in there like a dirty shirt every other day telling the poor woman what she is doing is unscriptural (um really =/ it's not permanent no worse than husbands who live somewhere else to work for a while) etc etc.
she is seeing a counsellor which i am very glad and just wants some time to work things out.
It is very sick, the types of things they are saying to her. Poor thing, nice you are there to give her a better perspecitve. I wish her good luck with her situation.

My question is, (am I the only one wondering?) Are these two having a fling? Seriously, once I worked in an office where a coworker behaved exactly like your receptionist, and WOE the clothes she got away with wearing. It wasnt cleavage she was showing, she wore the shortest of shorts. Reason why she got away with it all? She was doing the boss. Could this have anything to do with why he is so ineffective at getting her to behave? Maybe they are involved with each other? Just wondering..
