They already do with the shunning policy. Not physically of course, but still, psychological torture.

Would the WTS torture the "apostates" if they could?
by greendawn indo you think the wts would physically torture and even execute "apostates" if we all lived in a context that allowed them to do so?
much as the catholic church did in the middle ages when they had the opportunity to treat their dissenters as they wished.
already the way the gb wants apopstates treated is as vicious as can be, manifests a deeply seated maliciousness and animosity and is calculated to hurt as much as possible under the present day circumstances.

JW wedding music songs! I promise not to sing at you!
by Gill ini was having a reminising sort of day today and thinking about our wedding 22 years ago and the songs we picked for the ceremony.. we had first, 'love's excelling way'.. god is love, and therefore bids us, walk in love's excelling way,.
letting love of god and neighbour prompt all things we do and say.. for though we have faith and knowledge, gifts of tongues and prophecy,.
yet if love itself were lacking, we would simply nothing be.. .

We had no music at our reception because the PO at our hall wouldn't allow it.
Was he PAYING for your wedding?? Shish, just when you think you've heard it all. Glad it didnt bother you, but just unbelievable...

I went with my family to the ball park last night. They had a fireworks show after the game (complete with 3-d glasses, which is too cool, makes it look like a kaleidascope) (sp?)
But it was so beautiful, then the song God bless the USA, Lee Greenwood came on. I got chills, and tears in my eyes, 10,500 people all singing this awesome song. Then the part that says "and I'd proudly STAND UP) right after "stand" the longest pause, complete silence. Just beautiful, the stuff we had to miss out on, that we can now enjoy.

The women could use the kid excuse to get up and take a break. If they don't have one, they could always borrow somebody elses, on the excuse of giving them a break
hee hee! Yup, sure have seen that happen plenty of times.
Well, guess I'd still rather be a man. The girls breaks still involved a little too much, boogers, vomit, or poopie.

jeeeez they gave me a part 4 talk
by tsunami_rid3r inand its over "why moral restraint...not removed when 10 commandments passed away".
so i think this is talking about why the people in the greek scriptures couldnt do their neighbors wife, or you couldnt kill your neighbor even though the 10 commandments wasnt there.
how many bible scriptures should i use?

Who could blame the poor souls. I do remember brothers getting up during the meeting, to do this or that, or check this or that. So unfair, the brothers get special responsibilities that allow them to get a reprieve from the boredom, while the poor sisters have to sit through it. Another area where the wts is sexist.

Richie, well, you B R A V E little sh*t, you!
My son is 7, the kid hardly knows how to tie his shoes and wipe his little behind. To allow him to make such a serious decision with hurtful repercussions at this age, his parents ought to be shot.
Welcome back, agent Cody Banks. Thanks for all the great undercover work. We reallly appreciate it.
