How would you have done it?
by Ariell inpretend that you're god (yaweh) for a moment.
it doesn't matter if you believe in him or not.

What would you have done the moment you realized Satan had turned against you?
He would have experienced FUBAR
How would you test Adam and Eve, or would you have tested them at all?
NO tests for either, I'm God, why should I need to justify myself to anyone, but I would have made Adam wear clothes.
And if you did give them a test, how would you punish them if they disobeyed?
If they failed the imaginary test the penalty would have been no Sex for a week and Adam would have to rename all the animals again all starting with the letter Z.
Zelephant, Ziraff, Zebra...doh
Would you have created only two people to populate the earth or more?
More, nothing like a little competiiton to get the ball rollin.
Would you give man free will?
Yes for the freewill.
How would you give them laws to live by, or would they be born with these laws already implanted into their hearts and minds?
Just like animals survive with instincts, Man would be born with just enough inherent instincts to understand and help mold the direction he took, something simialr to what you said.
What would you do if they broke these laws?
Zap him with a lightning bolt...no...not sure about the last one, I'll think about it.

Why am I around these freaks !!!
by boy@crossroads inwell i went to the prince concert this time around with some of my jw "friends".
there was a whole row of us.
after one of princes solos, one of my pals (a sister 10 years older than myself) turns to me and says "just think we'll be playing with him in paradise".

Same thing crosses my mind whenever I'm surrounded by groups of families at the park.
I wonder if Prince goes out in service with his red corvette wearing a rasberry beret?

An honest estimate of ourselves.... (long)
by Theocrat ingod says: ?blessed is the able-bodied man who puts his trust in jehovah, and whose confidence jehovah has become.?
a governing body that made decisions based on the scriptures and blessed by jehovah!
now, he is once again serving as a christian elder.

Does the Watchtower Society stunt personal development and growth
by truthseeker inwith so many "responsibilities" given to the witnesses by the "faithful and discreet slave", there is little time for them to do anything these days except sleep - and that is when they're not out preaching at unearthly hours in the morning.. .
the enormous pressure to perform, and to be under the watch of the elders to make sure you perform, is a draining experience.. .
a book i have on sociology says this regarding jehovah's witnesses, when discussing sects, that "they require intensive commitments and demonstrations of belief by members.

Qualities to look for in a marriage mate? Let's get real...
by findingme indoodle-v's thread regarding our own ypa questions got me thinking about this.
recall when we were past the "bloom of youth", and we could start the dating process (with only the possibility of marriage in mind, of course).
i was reminded again and again to look for that brother who possessed "spiritual qualities", ie, who could take the lead, had the goal of becoming a pioneer, or already was a pioneeer, etc.

Unconditional love, at least a few similar interests, brains, someone who laughs..I mean really laughs not the snorting laughs or the har har har laughs but when something is funny they're not a shamed to laugh and have a good time.
Someone who knows when to let things slide because in the big sheme they mean dick all and also when to stand firm because this shit ain't happening.
Looks and all the rest are nice but you need someone that looks good to you in the dark, in the light, in a crowd or by themself....and that is usually determined by a beauty or a confidence that comes from the inside not the outside.
And if all else fails some rich person who does not want a prenup.
