Is this a trick question...of course...I'd say every congregation but then it's certainly not limited to congregations or JW's.
Welcome to the forum Taisha
They follow the bible verse which states not to become unevenly yoked with a non-believer.
Truthfully it's the one thing they got right, in comparison to other religous unions a JW with anyone else but a JW is a relationship filled with sacrafice and heartache..often on both sides...there are exceptions as there are to every rule.
according to the bibles account of creation, there seems to be a contridiction as to when man was created.
the theory accepted by most people i've spoken to is that, according to gen 2:7, 7 and jehovah god proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul, stating that man was created on the seventh creative day.. however, genesis 1:27 states that on the 6th creative day, 27 and god proceeded to create the man in his image, in god?s image he created him; male and female he created them.. so were man created on the 6th or 7th creative day?
and if god created man on the 7th day, then later created woman from man why does the bible state that he created man and woman at the same time on the 6th day?
Cowboy..even the 1000 year being a day idea is man's idea.
If God was truly omnipotent time would not factor into his creative process...at least I would not think so.
If you subtract God from the creation project and subscribe to more of an evolutionary ideal, 1000 years does not allow for any significant changes to take effect.
BTW..Cowboy... if Adam had to watch all the anilmals having sex for a thousand years while waiting for a mate.... he probably had the first case of tennis elbow.

i was just reading some passages out of the new world translation, and stumbled upon something very interesting.
we all know rev 14:1, which numbers the 144,000, but reading the scriptures after that i noticed verse 4 which states that "these are the ones that did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins".
this seems to show that the 144,000 would be comprised of virgin men.
The NT was skewed by by the men who wrote it.
I put more emphasis on verse 5 when talking to dubs...and no falsehood was found in their mouths; they are without blemish.
How could C.T Russell who's teachings have almost entirely been abandoned as false be in Heaven....he certainly was no stranger to falsehood.
Rutherford and all of the rest of the WT 144000 in the last Century are guilty of the same...teaching falsehoods.
well, i got done with my taichi class.
after driving around for a little while, seeing the sights etc.. i decided to head to work early, to get changed then head to the bar for a beer or two before my shift starts.. i filled up on gas, then as i was driving away, i noticed a poor gal (35ish) walking down the sidewalk slowly.. thumbing a lift.
obviously she had been drinking, though not to the point of totally stumbling all over.. i felt so sorry for the woman, i just had to pull over and give her a lift.
FMZ...you spent so little time with Gumby you didn't realize he always goes after the sheep while they're in the pen..or room 222.
So you were crusin the streets lookin for hookerism...You could always carry an WT in the car and offer it first to people to see the reaction...if they say F off they must be OK.
what do you say when you are trying to get your point across............. i say:.
what god makes dies.
what man makes breaks.
Does your face hurt...........cuz it's killing me!
You must be twins....cuz your too stupid for one person.
We went to different schools together.
I haven't seen you since Jesus was a carpenter!

Noble...FMZ
Although your such a big intimadating figure I don't think anyone would mess with you.
Here is the kicker...you stop and pick her up and as you take off a set of lights go on behind you..it's the cops.
She turns out to be a hooker who is legitimately sick but the cops will have no part of this explanation, your charged and you have to call your wife to get you out of Jail...hmmm. Will she believe you....damn....what a predicament.
Maybe you could discern that she was clearly not a hooker and indeed just needed a lift, even if she was not a hooker and someone you knew seen you stop and pick up a woman who was walking, there would be a lot of explaining to do Lucy if the wife got wind of it before you told her...maybe this is just my past JW paranoina.
I had a boss who picked up a woman when it was a floodlike downpour, he asked where she was going and she said no where in particular...first clue
He said... do you have someplace you need to go....she said..I'm working..second clue
Working in the rain on a street corner...ding ding
He dropped her off pronto at a coffee shop...the point is..if he had been picked up by the cops his life could have been altered forever for being a good Samaritan.
Damn it's hard to make snap judgements.
shouldn't a religion bring people closer to god?
it would seem that many became atheist after being deceived by the wts.
unlike other religions, the wts was very precise in what was to happen during the 20th century.
I agree with Gary..the WT did not make me an atheist but it certainly made me skeptical of everything.
Once I became skeptical it led me to research most of my former touchstones like the bible being the inspired word of God...It crumpled under scrutiny as well...
Now I only want to believe but logic and reason prevent it. I don't believe in God anymore..at least not in the common concept of God...a lovem and leavem creator of sorts ..maybe!
