  Kristi may not make it through surgery.

  i just got the news a little while ago.

  kristi, the ms patient i've been taking care of went to the er this morning with a perforated colon and peritonitis....her bp was waaaay down and the docs have her in surgery right now, but they've told her parents it doesn't look good for kristi to make it thru this.. i was with her yesterday.

  she had started the morning throwing up and her mom was there because kristi was impacted and she was trying to remedy the situation.

  having been df'd about a year ago for apostasy (the sin of thinking for yourself without disengaging your mouth) i have taken advantage of several opportunities to speak to local jw's.

  I am not df'd or da'd because the WT SS came and told me a JC would be initiated if they got reports of me expressing my feelings on the WT to any of the Bro or Sis...I've disengaged my mouth but it's been hard.

  I had longtime friends get married this past summer and ask me to be part of the wedding party, I agreed. They knew already my stance and feelings and only after I agreed to do this they told me if I still had doubts about Jah Org then they couldn't use me. I told them not to use me then and they didn't.

  Everytime you run across an old JW friend they bring it up in casual conversation somehow...wasn't that a wonderful talk on blah, blah at the circuit assembly and what a fine WT we just had on Sticking with Jah Org....all the while knowing your position and that your voice has been taken away under penalty of apostasy.

  Sometimes I think ones who have been df'd or da'd have it better in that no one tries to stuff the WT crap down their throat and if they do you can reply in kind with anti-truth serum.

  Like I mentioned...excellent post on rising above and understanding the individual JW's shunning response.

  so my question is: since they can receive blood fractions, can they give blood fractions....and how.. since giving blood is not permitted?.

  i'm going through a time when so many things seem to be going wrong.. doesn't it seem as though it never rains, it pours?.

  i know the skeptics will roll their eyes at this suggestion: i think that sometimes things happen this way for a reason, and that when we successfully get through it, we are so much stronger.. what do you think about the idea that trials sometimes come along for a reason?.

  Thanks for listening to my moaning, I know many people have lots of problems too.
  

  So this week my hub and I went away for a few days to the lake district. We saw some *beautiful* places! I will post some pics soon,

  I would not call voicing the possibility of having cancer and feeling down after the other events you've mentioned moaning. Listening to Valis and Gumby induces moaning..not to mention gnashing of teeth.

  Glad you and Hubby got a nice well deserved get away to relax and recoup as well...

  Gumby I don't think you'll find any prohibition in the OT on polywog-imy because it was written by men for men...kind of like Hugh Hefner writing an article about how disgusting nudie magazines are..not gonna happen.

  The NT has those verses about men presiding over the congragation being husbands of one wife but it doesn't mention about christian men who were not presiding over the congregation.

  I think this verse is pretty f-in stupid

  Deuteronomy 22
  28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. [1] He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

  Fifty shekels was the fine to rape a woman after which she was forced to marry the guy that raped her. The fine for picking up firewood on the Sabbath was getting stoned (and not in a good way).
